Delta Delta Delta recently held Food Fest on April 20th in lieu of their annual philanthropy event, Day on
the Diamond. The event allowed members of the University of Iowa community to partake in a variety of
dishes in exchange for a five dollar donation. Day on the Diamond is a softball tournament held at City
Park that is open to public and Fraternity and Sorority community at The University of Iowa. The event
had to be changed due to an excessive amount of rainfall in the Iowa City area that caused the baseball
fields to flood. All proceeds made at the event profit the organization’s national philanthropy, St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospitals. Nationally, Delta Delta Delta’s philanthropic goal is called 15 in 5, which
seeks to raise 15 million dollars for St. Jude in five years.
