2015 HAM OF THE YEAR
David was selected from a nomination field of five active ARALB members, that met the
ham of the year criteria. The nomination field was picked by the active previous hams of the
year and voted on in December of last year. There are twenty five points that a nominated
member has to meet in order to be selected, and they will be listed in the clubs web page.
David received eighty percent of the votes for that year.

Editors Notes
As we begin the year with a
wonderful banquet, we are
starting the year off running
with Winter Field Day. If you
have not thought about it,
please consider dropping by
or contacting Endaf to see
how you can get involved.
We are going to be doing a
lot more ‘On Air Activities’
this year so we can be more
active in the community, besides Field Day. I encourage
members of the ARALB to
see how they can get in-
volved with more club activities. We have ARALB Ham
University that can always
use your help, or if you have
an idea for an event the club
can do, or get involved with,
share it with Endaf, or myself, Bill Bradley, or David
Akins.
I also wanted to congratulate
Sam Sher (KK6HMP) who
passed his Amateur Extra
license exam. It is a great
accomplishment that takes
some dedication to the
hobby to achieve, and remember only around eighteen percent of all ham radio
operators are Amateur Extra
class. So way to go Sam!
We are involved in the domain name transfer of
ARALB.ORG, and we should
be live with the new website
very soon.
As always, I welcome your
comments. Kelly T. Howard
