This indirect lighting system can include optional direct components, electronic signs and the latest in audio visual technology. The schedule 40 rail system and heavy duty stainless steel cable suspensions provide effective structure with high safety factors. The lightweight components of all aluminum construction provide maximum strength with minimal weight load on the building. Decorative Bulkheads provide easy suspension with a generous splice compartment. Power pack ballast module is designed for ease of maintenance. A multistage cleaning process is used before painting with optional natatorium finish available. The optical system provides high efficiency symmetrical or asymmetrical distribution for a variety of glare-free applications. DELTA RAIL SYSTEM THE SYSTEM The system consists of individual lamp or multi lamp fixtures utilizing sources with high energy efficiency and long lamp life. Available in up to 1000W H.I.D. systems as well as up to 6 x 55W Biax lamps. The finished modules can be uniformly spaced or customized spacing as applications demand. The system is supported at strategic points with heavy duty decorative bulkheads. The standard truss comes in 10 ft. sections, and the runs are completed with custom sized sections to meet the needs of the installation. Applications Swimming Pool • Lobby • Corridor • Library • Recreation Center • Church • Hospitals • Auditoriums Designer Modules See Ordering Information for other modules. THE RAIL: The RAIL is made from schedule 40 smooth aluminum extrusion with a diameter of 1.66 inches allowing multiple circuits inside the raceway. Schedule 40 tubing is 0.14 thick ensuring maximum strength and load bearing integrity of the system. The rail can be modified to suit different applications. It can go around corners, rise/drop in elevations, and be inverted to provide direct or indirect illumination. For ease of installation, modules are supplied up to 10 feet long. They are factory pre-wired to minimize field work. Bends and Drops THE JOINERS Each module is provided with an internal structural joiner bridge to permit easy slide-in of the next module. Electrical joiners are provided with quick-connect plugs at each joint. Plug pins are suitable for #10 and #12 wire with 600V rating. FINISH Delta Rail is designed to resist corrosive environments. All aluminum surfaces are pretreated and polyester powder coated with 2 mil. thick paint. Optional natatorium rated finishes are chromium pretreated and rated for 1500 hours of salt spray with up to 4 mil thickness polyester powder paint finish. BALLAST MODULE Integral ballast is supplied as a power pack with a handle and quick connect plugs to ease maintenance. The core/coil part of the ballast is epoxy encapsulated to ensure maximum heat dissipation and resistance against moisture and chemicals. The generous ballast compartment is enclosed and sealed with a high temperature silicone gasket. LAMP COMPARTMENT The fixture consists of a separate lamp compartment capable of aiming to suit the lighting design. It is factory secured at a predetermined angle to ensure consistent aiming and avoid mal-alignment during maintenance. The 6mm thick tempered glass lens is silicone sealed in a door frame to prevent ingress of dirt and moisture. The door frame seals to the lamp compartment with a high temperature silicone gasket and stainless-steel fasteners. The socket has an extruded aluminum sleeve for conducting away heat. THE BULKHEAD The decorative Bulkheads provide facility for mounting stems or aircraft cable at a predetermined point, ensuring complete balance of the system. The generous splice compartment provides ease of connections to continue wiring to the next section. 5/32” Dia. stainless-steel aircraft cables will exceed break weight ratings of 1000 lbs. The grip clutch is rated 1100 lbs break weight. This suspension combination results in a safety factor as high as 15:1 depending on the fixture wattage. OPTICAL SYSTEM Reflectors are made from 92% Reflectivity anodized aluminum. The hammertone finish gives maximum efficiency and uniformity on the reflecting surface. Symmetrical light distribution is standard although asymmetrical patterns can be specified if required.
