EGGER Thin chipboards are extra thin chipboards able to laminate – perfect for using with foils,
films or lacquers. They are suitable for the construction of door blanks and lightweight boards.
The coated boards offer a smooth, flat surface, which provides excellent resistance to
scratching, abrasion and chemicals.

MDF BOARDS
Medium Density Fibreboards from EGGER are perfectly suited for furniture construction and
interior fittings. The boards are sanded on both sides and provide an excellent surface for
laminating and lacquering. In comparison to many other wood based materials, MDF has a
higher bending strength, a higher perpendicular tensile strength and better screw holding
properties.

OSB COMBILINE
EGGER OSB Combiline is a heavy-duty load-bearing composite board with
an OSB core layer sandwiched between two layers of thin MDF. The product
advantages include optimised cutting, a high bending strength and strong
screw holding capabilities. Therefore the board is mainly used for furniture
components which require a high bending resistance.

EGGER Thin MDF boards are extra thin, medium density fibreboards which are mainly used
for furniture construction, due to their even surface of fine fibres. A wide variety of surface

PROCESSING OPTIONS:
LACQUERING
On an electronically controlled high-capacity lacquering
line, large sheets of MDF are continuously passed through
a cylinder based coating process. The applied lacquers
correspond to the latest technological developments.
A standard range of more than 100 decors allows various
design options.

FOLDING
The boards can now be folded thanks to a specialised
folding machine, which creates a virtually seamless fold
with PU gluing using EGGER’s patented technology.

DRILLING: Almost any drilling format is possible in
accordance with customer requirements. Quotations are
submitted following technical clarification.
CNC DRILLING / ROUTERING: With this process, line drillings
in the popular 32 mm grid pattern are also available, as are
router cuts with a diameter in excess of 20 mm. Quotations
are submitted following technical clarification.
NOTCHING: Almost any types of notches are possible in
accordance with customer requirements. Quotations are

BEVEL CUTS: Bevel cuts can be carried out to precise

PERFORATIONS: For specific requirements, lines of holes
can be punched into the lacquered boards. Examples:

in 3 mm thickness providing a wide variety of decors and
textures. The surface provides excellent resistance to scratching, abrasion and chemicals.

EURODEKOR® Flammex (red coloured core) offers reliable
fire protection, with no restrictions in terms of design.

EURODEKOR® plus ML – MULTI-LAYER
A higher level of abrasion resistance is achieved by the
two paper layers – the decorative paper is covered by an
overlay paper.
A multi-layer-composition is created through the use
of several underlay/barrier papers underneath the decor
paper. A maximum surface thickness of 1 mm is possible
and provides an even higher impact resistance. An overlay
paper can also be applied if there is a requirement for
higher abrasion resistance.
Cut to size
High capacity and state-of-the-art saws offer a cut-to-size
service, which is available in the following plants: SJO, URB,
BRI, RIO, RAM, HEX, SHU, RAU

LAMINATES
EGGER decorative laminates combine high wear resistance with the flexibility to create attractive
designs. They have a multiple layer structure, which consists of a decorative melamine resin
impregnated paper, one or more phenolic resin impregnated kraft core papers and an especially
developed balancer paper on the reverse. These components are pressed under high pressure and
heat.

Laminate Flammex Euroclasss B is classified in accordance
with EN 428:2005 as laminate type F (flame retardant). Also
tested in accordance with DIN EN 13501-1.
MED LAMINATE – STANDARD LAMINATE FOR THE
INDUST Y COLLECTION
Classified in accordance with EN 438:2005 laminate MED
as HGP (Horizontal General Purpose Postforming). The
Lloyd´s Certificate confirms the MED Quality (Marine Equipment
Directive) and can therefore be used in shipbuilding.

WRAPING AND COVERING
EGGER FLEX Laminate was developed to meet special
postforming requirements. Due to its flexibility, this
laminate can be used to postform elements with a radius
< 3 mm (depending upon the laminates thickness).
This laminate quality is perfectly suited for covering
boards and wrapping profiles.

These laminates feature a genuine aluminium surface
and combine the appeal of metal with a cool elegance.
COMPACT LAMINATES
EGGER compact laminates and EGGER compact laminates Flammex Euroclass B are compact
laminates according to DIN EN 438-4:2005, with a black core. EGGER compact laminates Flammex
Euroclass B are low flammability boards that meet the special requirements of DIN EN 13501-1 in
case of fire. Both compact laminate grades are especially suitable for classic interior applications
such as tables, work surfaces and wall cladding. The boards have a multilayer structure consisting
of melamine resin impregnated decorative papers and several kraft core papers impregnated with
phenolic resins. Depending on the area of application and requirements, a special overlay can be
applied to the decor side to resist abrasion.

COMPACT LAMINATES

The boards are suitable for interior applications, with normal
flammability but cannot be postformed. The standard core colour
is black with brown as optional. Low-flammability EGGER compact
laminates Flammex Euroclass B are classified as CGF (Compact
General-purpose Flame-retardant) according to DIN EN 438-4:2005,
and are only available with a black core. Classification: B - s2, d0
according to DIN EN 13501-1:2007. Both grades can be produced with
maximum dimensions of 5600 × 2060 mm (220.47” × 81.10”).

In our postforming programme, we offer EUROSPAN®
worktops that suitable for all applications that demand
high surface quality and durability. The integrated thin
chipboard edging in postforming applications guarantees
optimum surface consistency and shock resistance. We
supply our solid chipboard worktops up to a thickness of
38 mm (1.50”) in various versions, lengths and widths.

Spiral grooves are required for roller shutter cabinets. We

EUrolight® LIGHTWEIGHT BOARD – FRAMELESS
On lightweight boards such as our EUROLIGHT®, with an 8 mm
(0.31“) surface layer, we apply 2 mm (0.08”) security or accent
edging directly – without frame – up to 50 mm (1.97”).
With the addition of precise bore holes and rear panel
grooves, they constitute an ideal bought-in product with dual
benefits thanks to their light weight – in purchasing
and shipping.

EUrolight® LIGHTWEIGHT BOARD – WITH FRAME
Lightweight boards feature optimum prerequisites for
applications with a 3 and 4 mm (0.12” and 0.16”) but also an
8 mm (0.31”) surface layer. 10, 38 or 65 mm (0.39”, 1.50” or
2.56”) frame options ensure that solid material is present at
the edge for the desired fitting or assembly technologies.

ROMA LASER EDGING
With the development ROMA LASER EDGING we introduce something
new and exciting. All edge materials of ROMA are coated afterwards
with „Laser Coating“ at the back. A perfect edge finish can be created
without a visible glue joint. Roma offers this product for a wide number
of decors with low minimum order quantities.
ACCENT EDGING
Accent edging is made of acrylic (PMMA), the only suitable material for
transparent applications and combines the transparency of this thermoplastic material with the quality of premium decors. The printed designs
are protected by the transparent surface and help achieve perfect
seamless corners with no window-frame effect. The edging is available
with or without high-gloss and as a 1.0, 1.3, 1.5 or 2.0 mm thick edging in
various widths based on the customer demand.
MELAMINE EDGING
Melamine edging is the edge finishing standard for all wood-based
materials. It is available as single-layer or multi-layer printed edging,
and matches our decors exactly in terms of colour variations and texture.
EGGER melamine edging is available from stock, with or without hot-melt
adhesive coating.

Real-Alu edging consist of a 0.1 mm real aluminum, laminated with a
special technique on an ABS or PVC base material. It‘s available as a 0.5,
1.0 & 2.0 mm thick edge in jumbo roll form ready to be cut to specific
customer requirements. A protective foil is applied on the surface to
prevent scratching. The aluminum surface decors that are available are:
Alu Silk Mat, Brushed Aluminum, Stainless Steel optic, Brushed Gold
and Mirror Alu.

The Flammex product spectrum offers a range of low flammability products that provide additional
protection in case of a fire. When a fire starts, the boards are able to delay the flash-over point
(the time it takes until the fire fully develops). This can significantly increase the amount of time
available to initiate emergency response measures.
In addition to the essential protective function in case of fire, low flammability EGGER products
also guarantee design versatility thanks to decors and colours that match other products.

EURODEKOR® Flammex E1 P2 B/M1 CE stands for reliable
fire protection and decorative design flexibility. It is
classified as a low flammability, melamine-faced chipboard
in the fire class EUROCLASS B-s1,d0, as well as M1. You
have access to the entire EURODEKOR® programme in the
colour and decor match. Fire protection requirements are
met and design freedom is offered by this modern material
made from a renewable resource.

FLAMMEx LAMINATE
EGGER Flammex laminate can be classified as laminate type
F (flame retardant) in accordance with EN 438:2005. In case
of fire, it meets the special requirements of building
materials class B1 according to DIN 4102-1:1998-05 and
the French fire behaviour category M1.

FLAMMEx EUROCLASS B COMPACT LAMINATE
EGGER compact laminate is classified as CGF (compact
general-purpose flame-retardant) in accordance with
DIN EN 438-4:2005. Thanks to the board structure, it is
self-supporting and guarantees high durability.

A2-laminate bonded boards in matching colours with EGGER
laminate decors are a new highlight. These special new
products are produced by the EGGER partner Akustik+. The
tested and certified joining elements are based on mineral,
non-flammable coreboards laminated with EGGER Micro
laminate. Of course these A2-laminate bonded boards can
also be produced as acoustically effective elements. The
colour for the coreboard was adapted to the hue of an MDF
board. We hereby accentuate our claim to offer EGGER
materials in matching colours.

From the initial idea through to the final producT –

designs, textures and plastic properties can be created as
required with our variable scanner units.
You provide us with image and / or decor data for printing. Or

We use fully integrated locations where we recycle the wood. This extends from the solid wood production in
the sawmill, up to the production of wood-based materials such as laminate floorings. Wood residues and
recycled wood that cannot be used in production are utilised as thermal fuel in our biomass power plants to
generate energy for production. We therefore optimise our use of wood to help protect our climate.
We have incorporated all the processes of our philosophy into our ecological cycle.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION STARTS WITH
SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY
RECYCLING AND THERMAL UTILISATION OF WOOD
Responsible and sustainable forestry has the highest
priority at EGGER. For the production of wood materials
EGGER exclusively uses wood from forest thinnings and
waste wood in selected quality from sawmills, as well as
suitable recycled wood. Within the chain of custody, our
plants are PEFC* and / or FSC*-certified depending on
the availability of wood.
Part of the wood we use consists of recycled wood residues.
Those wood materials that accrue during production and
which cannot be used materially are used in our biomass
power plants. The energy created through this is utilised for
the drying of the cut timber and in the production of woodbased materials.

ENVIRONMENTAL PRODUCT DECLARATIONS
We had the sustainability and environmental compatibility of
our products confirmed through independent tests and have
presented this information in our environmental product
declarations (EPDs). These are used in certifying the
sustainability of buildings. EPDs are available for all key EGGER
product groups. Moreover, we have certificated our plant in
Unterradlberg (AT) in 2010 Environmental Management and
Audit Scheme.This voluntary environmental management
system supports EGGER with the continuous improvement
of the company environment protection.
