Assignments and labs:
• Assignments and labs are an important part of the course.
• In order to pass the course, all assignments and labs must be
completed and handed in.
• No marks are given for late labs and assignments, except in
documented cases of illness.
• All labs and assignments must be typed using a document editor,
hand-written labs and assignments would not be accepted.

Evaluations:
• The assessment of this course is based on the labs, assignments, a
midterm, and a final exam.
• The final exam will be two hours long and on a date and time
decided by the college.
o Please do not make any travel or other plans for the exam
period.
• The final exam will cover the entire course.
• Your final mark will be evaluated according to the following table:
Midterm Exam:
30%
Final Exam:
35%
Labs:
15%
Assignments:
15%
Project/Participation 5%
The letter grade will be determined as follows:

In order to pass the course, you must meet the following conditions:
• An overall mark of 50% or higher according to the above calculation
• An average mark of 50% or higher on the exam component of the
course (midterms and final)
• All labs and assignments must be attempted and handed in
• Attendance in all classes and labs except in documented cases of illness
Cheating and Plagiarism:
Incidence of cheating or plagiarism will not be tolerated in any case.
Students caught cheating or plagiarizing on assignments, labs, or exams will receive
a failing grade in the course and will be reported to registrar’s office.
If you are unsure as to what constitutes cheating or plagiarism, consult Appendix A,
“Code of Academic Conduct” of the Student Handbook.
