Kennedy Library, Office of Academic Resources, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus Library Center, Princess of Naradhiwas University Thaksin University Library Provincial University Library Network : PULINET Background The Provincial University Library Network = PULLINET is the partnership of the provincial university libraries established in 1986 as a consequence of the meeting of the Provincial University Presidents 2/2528 BE. on 25 October 1985 titled “The Academic Partnership of the Provincial Universities”. The meeting had assigned the provincial universities to initiate the practical project aimed at minimizing the budgets and rapid and conventional information sharing. The project was piloted by Chiangmai University Library which was a leader of the PULLINET Project as well. Vision As a powerful and sustainable library network to support the member universities’ missions Missions • Management of the university’s information resources sharing network for maximum efficiency • Development of the local information to be complete and up to date in order to be the learning center for local knowledge • To develop the personnel of the sharing network on knowledge and morality • To develop the partnerships with other library networks both at home and abroad Purposes • To share and communicate information • To promote the extensive use of resources aimed at facilitating the library users to have information and to be able to access the information in accordance with the most demanding. Membership Subscription 1. Eligible members are researcher, staff and college students under the institutions of the library sharing network members 2. Annual member fee is 50 Baht 3. Request for the membership application at the Circulation Service Counter 4. Lending right: three books from the Central Library for a period of seven days and one renewing library materials on the internet lending system; or upon the member library’s regulations Library Card Application Students/ staff and officials can apply for the library card at their own institutional library. The PULLINET membership card can be used in all PUULINET member libraries where the demanding resources are located. Required Documents 1. Two passport photos, size 1x1 inch 2. A copy of government identification or student cards Lending Regulations 1. The borrower is required to show the PULLINET Card issued by the member central libraries of the sharing network every time upon the lending and the government agency identification cards, or student cards, or Thai citizen identification cards which is still valid in use, to process the lending. 2. The lending period is seven days in a row for the number of three books and the borrower can renew once on the internet or upon the regulations, requirements or announcement of the lending library.
