Climate Change
JGSEE-CEE is pleased to announce the organization of the 6th International
Conference on Sustainable Energy and Environment or “SEE 2016” on the theme
of “Energy & Climate Change: Innovating for a Sustainable Future” in conjunction with
the 6th International Conference on Green and Sustainable Innovation or “ICGSI 2016”
and the 1st International Conference on Climate Technology and Innovation or CTI
2016. The event will be held during 28-30 November 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand.
SEE 2016 is a biennial conference organized by JGSEE in collaboration with its
consortium partners* and Kyoto University. It focuses on advances in energy and
environmental sciences, technologies and policy.
ICGSI 2016 is a trans-disciplinary international forum focusing on green process
engineering as a path towards sustainable development of societies and regions.
ICGSI 2016 is co-hosted by JGSEE and Kasetsart University.
CTI 2016 is an international forum co-hosted by JGSEE and KMUTT; it focuses
primarily on adaptation to climate change and greenhouse gas mitigation via climate
related technology and innovation.
The primary purpose of SEE 2016 and concurrent events, ICGSI 2016 and CTI 2016,
is to provide a forum for local and international participants to present their research
and development progress and results, to exchange knowledge, views and experiences
on “Energy and Climate Change” with a particular emphasis on “Innovation for a
Sustainable Future”.
Topics covered include, energy technology and efficiency, energy and environmental
policy, air pollution and climate related technology and innovation, and sustainable
development. These topical areas address the twin issues of energy security and
climate change, and the critical role of technological innovation for a green future.
*JGSEE’s consortium partners within the Center of Excellence on Energy Technology and
Environment include: King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (Lead University), King
Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Chiang Mai University, Prince of Songkla
University, and Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology at Thammasat University.
