DISCLAIMER I DIAMOND COLOUR CERTIFICATE

A Diamond Colour Certificate only contains the findings of HRD Antwerp nv from grading, testing, examining and
analyzing the diamond according to the highest professional standards.
HRD Antwerp nv employs the latest and most advanced state-of-the-art techniques and technology and testing methods
available at the time of testing, but these are subject to changes and developments and contain certain subjective
elements. This means different results may be obtained when other persons grade, teste, examine and analyse the
diamond, depending on the equipment used and when and how that other person employed the available testing
methods. If grading, testing, examination and analysing techniques and equipment improve, this may also result in a
different outcome.
The methods by which diamonds are permanently or non-permanently treated are becoming ever- more sophisticated.
Consequently, when using these latest techniques and technologies, it will not always be possible to determine if a
diamond has been treated and HRD Antwerp nv offers no guarantees in this respect.
The diamond must be prior to examination and this is the responsibility of the person to whom the Certificate is issued.
In the event that improper cleaning influences the grading results, HRD Antwerp nv cannot be held liable.
HRD Antwerp nv limits its liability under this Certificate exclusively to the person to whom this Certificate is issued. That
person is identifiable by the Certificate number (number which is uniquely attributed). The liability of HRD Antwerp nv
with respect to that person is limited as set out hereinafter:
HRD Antwerp nv, its employees, appointees, agents or affiliated companies:
1. disclaim all liability of any nature for any loss, damage or cost arising from any errors in or omissions from this
Certificate and/or any inscription, unless such is the direct result of fraud, willful misconduct or gross negligence
of HRD Antwerp nv, its employees, appointees, agents or affiliated companies
2. can under no circumstance be held liable for any incidental or consequential damages resulting from this
Certificate.
3. can under no circumstance be held responsible for deviations or variances, which may result from repeated
inspections or the application of other methods.
Complaints or claims in any way related to this Certificate will no longer be accepted after 12 months from the date upon
the complaint or claim first arose, but always limited to the period for which this Certificate is valid.
HRD Antwerp nv can under no circumstances be held liable in any way in connection with this Certificate vis-à-vis third
parties.
The purpose of the Diamond Colour Certificate is to describe the characteristics of the diamond. Any descriptive
references not directly related to the characteristics of the diamond, such as references to the shape, the image or the
name given to the cut of the diamond, are at the explicit request and under the sole responsibility of the party that
commissioned the Diamond Colour Certificate. These references are merely descriptive and refer in no way whatsoever
to the origin of the diamonds. Under no circumstances can HRD Antwerp nv, its employees, appointees, agents or any
affiliated companies of HRD Antwerp nv be held responsible and/or liable for any infringements of intellectual property or
other rights in the descriptive references contained in this Certificate. Any claims relating to the possible infringement of
third parties’ intellectual property or other rights, are to be addressed to the party that commissioned the Diamond
Colour Certificate.
Any accompanying Certificates/Reports and hallmarks are accepted as accurate, with the implicit understanding that HRD
Antwerp nv neither guarantees nor warrantees their accuracy.

Neither this Certificate, nor the name, trademarks, service marks and logos of HRD Antwerp nv may be used in whole or
in parts for advertising, publishing, or promotional purposse without prior and written consent from HRD Antwerp nv.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, this Diamond Colour Certificate may not be referred to and cannot be
used as a guarantee, valuation or appraisal.
The Diamond Colour Certificate remains valid, and is kept on file for ten years after it was first issued. Duplicates will
feature the issue date of the original Diamond Colour Certificate and are subject to the same conditions.
HRD Antwerp nv has the right to amend its disclaimer at any time, and this will automatically apply. HRD Antwerp nv
recommends that the disclaimer be perused regularly on www.hrdantwerp.com to review the most recent version.
This disclaimer is governed by Belgian Law, and any dispute or claim hereunder shall be submitted to the exclusive
jurisdiction of the courts of Antwerp in Belgium.
