OBJETIVE
Establish the requirements that an A¡r Operator must accompl¡sh to obta¡n a Overfly Authorizat¡on ¡nto
the Plurinational State of Bol¡via.
2.
APLICATION
It is appl¡cable to all that A¡r Operators that send authorizations to the C¡v¡l Aviat¡on Author¡ty of Bolivia,
to obtain an authorization to overfly in ¡ts territory.
3.
LEGAL DOCUMENTS
Related to spec¡fied normative to the issue of landing, departure and overflight author¡zations in non-regular
¡nternat¡onal fl¡ghts.
4.
DESCRIPTION
Every air operator shall request an authorizat¡on to the Civil Av¡at¡on Author¡ty of Bolivia w¡th a
minimum ant¡c¡pat¡on of 48 hours prior to flight (Monday to Friday).
The m¡nimum 4&hour deadl¡ne for submiss¡on of applications for Over flight, will
be
reconsidered only in exceptional or emergency cases, documentat¡on supporting spec¡fic fly¡ng
object must be presented (duly verified by DGAC):
a) AMBULANCE FLIGHTS/MEDICAL EVACUATTON
General declaration and medical cert¡f¡cate or document author¡z¡ng transfer of the pat¡ent.
b) oFFtcrAL FLTGHT
Prev¡ous Ministry of Foreign Affairs official not¡f¡cation
c)
FLIGHT OF HUMANITARIAN AID
Commun¡cat¡on of higher jur¡sdict¡on of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, General Declaration or
detail of the cargo load.
The over fl¡ght Authorizat¡on request must be submitted through the Reoistrat¡on for over
fliqht Reouest Form DTA- REG- 002 with the follow¡ng information:
A. Name of the Air Operator or certif¡cate holder.
B. Business address, telephone, fax and email of the Air Operator or certificate holder.
C. Contact name, address, fax, and email for the billing of invoices corresponding to
a¡r
nav¡gation serv¡ces.
D. Deta¡ls of all aircraft (includ¡ng alternate, ¡f applicabte):

HOURS
The names of the staff responsible for assistance with the requests, email and working hours,
are detailed on the DGAC website (www.dgc.gob.bo ) , entering the link "Nonscheduled
lnternational Flight Authorizations"
6. ASPECTS TO GONSIDER:
a) The
application must be made by the certificate holder or authorized personnel and
presented in the Form DTA- REG- 002. For legal purposes, the information provided in
the DTA- REG- 002 Form, is considered by Civil Aviation Authority of Bolivia, as a sworn
declaration of the air operator and is binding to the natural or legal person which becomes
the interested party.

c) The renewal of an over flight authorization will be subject to verification of the current legal
address/ or commercial information of the air operator or the intermediate as well as any debts
in respect of over flights.
d ) The over flight authorization issued by the Civil Aviation Authority will be valid for three
additional days of the requested
,
in case of advance or delay in the operation.
e) The authorization has a peremptory period and a specific object of flight. After the deadline
the authorizations are no longer effective.
f ) Foreign companies of regular services that require to perform multiple over flights through
Bolivia may obtain over flight clearance for a period of six ( 6) months, renewable for a similar
period , provided that the certificate holder has complied with all established procedures

g ) Non regular air transport companies or general aviation that require to make multiple over
flight operations through Bolivia, may obtain over flight clearance for a period of three (3 )
months, renewable for a similar period, provided that the certificate holder has fulfilled
established all procedures
