Nishitetsu Bus Navi
Introduction of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system
Onboard GPS units installed on regular scheduled buses are used to locate
where they are on a real time basis. The
system will inform the bus users (via
smart phones) of the latest operation
status and the current bus locations.
A new bus service system – incorporating
articulated buses, construction of symbolized
bus stops and improved connectivity between
rail and bus services – which is faster, capable
of transporting more passengers on time,
easy to understand and to use is slated for
implementation in fiscal 2016.
Held once every 2 years like its counterpart in Tokyo, Fukuoka Motor Show attracted a record 147,057
visitors in 4 days of the show period in January 2014. Among various events to take place concurrently
at the three venues – Marine Messe Fukuoka, Fukuoka Kokusai Center and Fukuoka International
Congress Center – Fukuoka Motor Show has grown to such a scale that far exceeds others. By holding
this event in Northern Kyushu, which is capable of producing over 1.5 million vehicles, it also provides
a platform for technical engineers both at home and from abroad to network with each other.
