JOB TITLE REF TUTOR / ASSESSOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE Assessor CLOSING DATE 14 SALARY £18k - £22k depending upon experience and qualifications BRIEF DESCRIPTION Bowling College is offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, energetic and versatile Health & Social Care Tutor / Assessor to join their small Intermediate / Advanced Apprenticeship delivery team. th November 2015 COMMENCING DATE ASAP The person appointed will contribute to the development of this curriculum area and provide learners with personalised support and training in their workplace, to achieve their career potential. Only applicants with extensive knowledge within the Health & Social Care Sector and the relevant assessor qualifications need apply. Opportunities to deliver higher level qualifications, CPD and other curriculum subjects, would be available to the right candidate. QUALIFICATIONS Responsibilities and Main Duties Visiting learners in the workplace, assessing monitoring and supporting their needs To mentor candidates who are enrolled on the programme. Manage and delivery all aspects of the apprenticeships framework including functional skills. Identify candidates other training requirements To ensure that information and guidance on assessment, equal opportunities and quality assurance is provided for all candidates and assessors. To monitor and record the progress of all candidates. Establish and maintain effective communication links with employers To contribute to the development of college provision for the Health and Social Care sector. Education & Training: Be a qualified Assessor (D32/D33/ A1), past tutor experience and proven knowledge within the health and social care sector Be able to contribute significantly in the developments of our apprenticeship offer Minimum of 3 years experience and a level 3 in health & social care, PTLLS Full clean driving licence Skills and Abilities HOW TO APPLY Good communication and mentoring skills, Computer literate Good organisation and team working skills, Conscientious, creative and innovative.
