Technical Data Nominal AC Supply Voltage Supply Current (nominal @ 230V) 100-277V AC, 50/60Hz 0.7A – HB**4M/4N 1.7 A – HB**4P 1.8 A – HB**MP Power consumption 146W - HB**4M/4N 161W - HB**4P 172W - HB**MP NOTE: HBJXXXX-EUOS/EUOSD versions are rated for 230/240VAC ONLY; REFER TO PRODUCT LABEL FOR INGRESS PROTECTION (IP) RATING. General Mounting Information: For maximum long term reliability and light output, the light must be installed in free air. The High Bay luminaire design incorporates an over-temperature control circuit that reduces input power should internal temperatures reach a maximum level. As a result, light output may be temporarily reduced at higher ambient temperatures. The High Bay only luminaire is fitted with a 3m long cable that cannot be removed or replaced. Stirrup Mounting The ‘Stirrup Bracket’ is fixed into place by the 2 bolts along the side of the luminaire, when secured into the desired position the 2 bolts should be tightened to 8.0 – 10.0Nm. HBJXXXX-EUOS(D) luminaires are supplied with HBXW3 stirrup bracket. HBJXXXX-EUOS(D) has an IP rating of IP54. Operating temperature range -40°C to +65°C Power factor >0.9 ATHD <10% @230/240V AC Dimensions (Height x Diameter) 12.7cm x 40.6cm Weight 1. Introduction An internal power-factor-corrected switch-mode supply allows it to be used at a nominal 100277VAC, 50/60Hz AC supply without any variation in light output. For supply connections use suitable cable rated for 100-277VAC 1.5mm2 and at least 90ºC Recommended mounting height: 6 to 12m. Suitable for indoor and outdoor, fixed installation applications. 7.7 kg 2.1 Installation High Bay Luminaire Only (Fitted Cable)-(HBXXXX-EU(H)). The High Bay luminaire is supplied with a 3 core coloured cable. Electrical Connection Note: Electrical installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. Note: To maintain the IP rating of the luminaire, cables shall be suitably glanded or protected when terminated. If supplied with a factory fitted plug, the plug/socket interface shall be suitably protected to maintain the luminaire’s IP rating. Connecting the fitted power cable conductors as follows: - Green/Yellow wire connects to Safety Ground (Earth). - BLUE wire connects to Neutral. - BROWN wire connects to Live. - Restore power and verify operation All statements, technical information and recommendations contained herein are based on information and tests we believe to be reliable. The accuracy or completeness thereof is not guaranteed. In accordance with Dialight “Terms and Conditions of Sale”, and since conditions of use are outside our control, the purchaser should determine the suitability of the product for his intended use and assumes all risk and liability whatsoever in connection therewith. Interfacing to an automated switch: WARNING: TO BE INSTALLED AND/OR USED IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPROPRIATE ELECTRICAL CODES AND REGULATIONS. WARNING: CONTROLLING A LOAD IN EXCESS OF THE SPECIFIED RATING OF THE SWITCH COULD DAMAGE THE UNIT AND POSE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, PERSONAL INJURY, OR DEATH. CHECK LOAD RATINGS TO DETERMINE THE UNIT’S SUITABILITY FOR YOUR APPLICATION. SHOCK, TURN OFF POWER AT CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE AND TEST THAT THE POWER IS OFF BEFORE WIRING. 2) Install switch as per manufacturer’s instructions. 3) Connect luminaire wires as follows: Brown lead to load of the switch, Blue lead to neutral, Green/Yellow lead to earth ground. Multiple luminaires may be connected to a switch as long as the rated load of the switch is not exceeded. 4) Restore power at circuit breaker or fuse. Verify operation of system. If the light will not turn on, check the operation of the luminaire and switch individually and check that the wiring is done correctly. 2.2 Installation High Bay Luminaire (Dimming Version with fitted cable)-(HB- XXXX-EUD(H)). The dimmable High Bay luminaire is fitted with a 5 core coloured cable and requires a suitable 0-10 volt dimmer to operate the dimming function of the luminaire. The dimming conductors may be BLACK & GREY or PURPLE & GREY Note: Electrical installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. Connecting the fitted cable conductors as follows: When supplied with Black & Grey dimming pair: - Green/Yellow wire connects to Safety Ground (EARTH). - BROWN wire connects to LIVE - BLUE connects to NEUTRAL - GREY wire connects to POSITIVE on the dimmer - BLACK wire connects to NEGATIVE on the dimmer Note, when supplied with Purple & Grey dimming pair – Live, Neutral and Ground/Earth as above: - PURPLE wire connects to POSITIVE on the dimmer - GREY wire connects to NEGATIVE on the dimmer - Refer to manufacturers dimming installation instructions for connection and operation. - Restore power and verify operation. 2.3 Installation High Bay Luminaire with Junction box (HBJXXXX- EUXX). For the High Bay luminaire with junction terminal box a suitable 3 core mains cable is required to complete the installation. The High Bay with junction box is supplied with: 1 x M20 cable gland 1 x M20 cable entry dust cover We recommend mounting the junction box High Bay luminaire using the HBXW3 stirrup bracket (supplied separately). Maintenance To avoid personal injury, disconnect power to the light and allow the unit to cool down before performing maintenance. Warning: Removal of the lens will void the warranty. The lens could be cleaned periodically as needed to ensure continued photometric performance. Clean the lens with a damp, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. If not sufficient, use mild soap or a liquid cleaner. During any maintenance inspect the cooling fins on the luminaire to ensure that they are free of any obstructions or contamination (i.e. excessive dust build-up).Clean with a non- abrasive cloth if needed. 1) WARNING: TO AVOID FIRE AND ELECTRICAL A80-000726_K
