BIDS TO BE SUBMITTED SHALL CONFORM TO THIS NOTICE. Item 1. Specifications, Section 013591 – Historic Treatment Procedures: CLARIFICATION that the “original plaster finish/material” has not been pre-determined, but assume it’s lime cement plaster to be restored to the “original” finish (the Contractor shall determine what’s the “original” plaster finish and material, and obtain approval prior to proceeding with corrective work); also, a light sand-blasting of the exterior may be utilized (obtain approval prior to proceeding) to expose areas in need of repair, and make necessary repairs in accordance with the restoration plan, thereby matching new plaster to what is determined to be “original” and blend-in new for a uniform appearance. On-site City Representative and Architectural Review Commission representative shall be consulted during this process to determine the best course of action. Item 2. Specifications, Section 017300 – Execution, paragraph 1.4.D: DELETE last 2 sentences, since LEED is not applicable to this project. Item 3. Specifications, Section 071113 – Bituminous Dampproofing: DELETE entire section. Item 4. Specifications, Section 081113 – Hollow Metal Doors and Frames, paragraph 2.7.C: CHANGE from “factory finish” to “field painted” doors and frames. Item 5. Specifications, Section 087100 – Door Hardware, Hardware Sets: DELETE Door No. 116 from Hardware Set No. 4.2, and ADD Door No. 126; also, CHANGE Door No. 131 to read Door No. 131B in Hardware Set No. 4.5; also, DELETE Overhead Stops from Hardware Set No. 6.1, and ADD “1 Closer / DC6000-A3 / M75 / 689 / CR”. Item 6. Specifications, Section 101400 – Signage: CLARIFICATION that referenced Section does not apply to pool signs (refer to Sheet No. SP1.0 for pool sign specifications) or the Message Center shown in 4/A1.0. Item 7. Specifications, Section 142400 - Hydraulic Elevator, paragraph 2.1: REPLACE the heading “Prequalified Elevator Contractors” to read “Elevator Contractors shall be subject to compliance with the requirements herein, and are not limited to the following:”. 306 E. Item 9. Drawings, Sheet No. L1.2 – Landscape Plan, Typical Shell Walkway: PROVIDE weed barrier equal to DeWitt Weed-Barrier PRO (3 ounce/black fabric) as manufactured by the DeWitt Company. Item 10. Drawings, Sheet No. A0.1 – Reference Sheet, 1/A0.1 - Stucco Repair: DELETE reference to microscopic analysis in the Color & Tint of Repairs paragraph; also, DELETE the word “sealed” in the Final Coating & Sealants paragraph; also, CLARIFICATION regarding the Preservation Plan, the Contractor will be responsible for reasonable assessments of the existing stucco and causes of deterioration, in collaboration with the City’s On-site Representative and the Architect; also, CLARIFICATION that the entire exterior of the building, including but not limited to the underside of the tile/roof decking, shall be cleaned, primed and painted. Item 11. Drawings, Sheet No. A1.0 – Architectural Site Plan: REVISE location of gate adjacent to ADA parking space as modified by 1/SD-4(1) Supplemental Drawing SD-4(1) included herewith. Item 12. Drawings, Sheet No’s.A2.1 – Floor Plans and A3.1 – Floor Finish Plans, Room Finish Schedule: CLARIFICATION that where “Sealed Concrete” is noted, PROVIDE a high performance polyester water based urethane coating similar to “ArmorSeal 1K Water Based Urethane Floor Enamel” as manufactured by The Sherwin-Williams Company, or approved equal; also, PROVIDE wall surface with veneer plaster prior to scheduled finish (paint) in Corridor 101, 106, and 115 as shown on 1/SD-4(3) Supplemental Drawing SD-4(3) included herewith. Item 13. Drawings, Sheet No. A4.1 – Opening Schedule & Details, Window Schedule, Tag No’s. 04, 06, 07, and 08: CHANGE material from “aluminum” to read “stainless steel”. Item 14. Drawings, Sheet No. A5.1 – Exterior Elevations, Detail 6/A5.1: CLARIFICATION regarding the condition of the existing light poles, the Contractor shall assume they can be reused; however, surface rust shall be removed and the poles repainted. The top of the poles may need to be modified to accept the new light fixture bracket and additional metal strapping may be needed for structural support. The new custom fabricated metal light fixture bracket is approximately 4-feet high, and is to be constructed of round steel tube with powder-coated paint finish (intent is to match those shown in historical photos). The final detail for attaching the bracket to existing poles will be determined by the Architect once the Contractor exposes the bracket-to-pole connection. Item 15. Drawings, Sheet No. A5.1 – Exterior Elevations, Detail 8/A5.1: CHANGE laminated glass to read “1/4” thick tempered clear glass with polished edges”. Item 16. Drawings, Sheet No. A6.1 – Building Sections & Details: Detail 8/A6.1 – Typical Guardrail, CHANGE guardrail post size from 4-3/4” to read 5” square (standard size); also, Sections 3, 4, and 6, CLARIFICATION that all exposed walls, beams, etc., of stairways between the 1st Floor and 2nd Level/Pool Deck shall receive a parge coat of cement plaster and be painted. Drawings, Sheet No. A6.2 – Sections, Elevator Elevation 7 and 8/A6.2: CLARIFICATION that the Contractor shall provide the two (2) cast bronze plaques, similar to Metallic Arts, Inc., or approved equal with black leatherette texture, single line border, blind mount (text and location to be provided by Owner); also, ADD one (1) cast bronze dedication plaque (similar to the above plaques, except with minimum 300 characters of text and size: 18” x 18”). Item 18. Drawings, Sheet No’s A6.2 and A6.3 – Sections: CLARIFICATION that the waterproofing shown in Sections 2, 3, and 11/A6.2 and 13/A6.3, shall wrap around the new CMU pilasters and lintels, and concrete beams and columns and slabs, and existing turned up wall (between existing lower and upper pool decks) with openings where existing louvers are to be removed. Item 19. Drawings, Sheet No. A6.3 – Sections: ADD Control Joint Detail 1/SD-4(5) as shown on Supplemental Drawing SD-4(5) included herewith. Locate control joint at transition between existing upper pool deck and new infill pool deck (align with location of color change in pool deck coating as shown on 2/A3.1 – Upper Pool Deck Level/Floor Finish). Item 20. Drawings, Sheet No. A6.3 and SP11.0: CLARIFICATION that Collector Tank access door can be constructed of an alternate/approved material as long as minimum strength and durability criteria indicated are met (lid material shall be capable of withstanding a 500-pound point load anywhere on the lid or 100 PSF, whichever is worse). The tank lid and frame for the deck may be a plastic material (similar to “Starboard”, as manufactured by “Southwest Plastics”, ph: [727] 423-9092, or approved equal) and DELETE the Kool Deck coating on the access doors. Item 21. Drawings, Sheet No. A8.1 – Reflected Ceiling Plan, RCP Legend: CHANGE “CP – Cement Plaster Ceiling” to read “MR – Moisture Resistant Gypsum Board (Painted)”. Item 22. Drawings, Sheet No. A9.1 – Roof Plan: CLARIFICATION regarding the existing wood decking at the tile roof areas, any concealed deficiencies shall be brought to the attention of the City’s On-site Representative for resolution; also, PROVDE self-adhered roofing underlayment at all existing roofs, equal to “Grace Ultra” as manufactured by W.R. Grace & Company. Item 23. Drawings, Sheet No. S2.2 – Pool Deck Framing Plan: DELETE joints shown on and in the new pool shells and provide 4,500 PSI single monolithic shotcrete construction, including providing isolation of the new pool shells from the existing pool shell with self-adhering isolation membrane; also, CLARIFICATION that Pool Framing Note 12 includes thickening the slab to be 8-inches thick (minimum 1-foot square area) at the Starting Platform sleeves; also, CLARIFICATION that Pool Framing Note 13 pertains to the entire perimeter of the existing pool decking; also, CLARIFICATION that steel framing mentioned in Pool Framing Note 14 shall be 316L stainless steel, unless alternate material is to be used in conjunction with the Collector Tank access doors (see above item related to Sheet No’s. A6.3 and SP11.0). Item 24. Drawings, Sheet No. S3.1 – Typical Details: DELETE details shown in 3-152/S3.1; also, refer to Sheet No. SP8.0 for pool profiles to be used. Item 25. Drawings, Sheet No. P001 – Plumbing General Notes and Legend, Electric Water Heater Schedule: REVISE Model Number below photo adjacent to the Schedule to read “DEN-80-2088KW” to be the same as listed in the Schedule. Drawings, Sheet No. P102 – Plumbing 1st Floor Plan/Sanitary: CLARIFICATION that the typical leader from the deck drain (DD-1) shall be 4” diameter piping and extend to the inside face of exterior wall, then vertically down to just above the floor slab where it will turn 90degrees and penetrate the wall to the exterior, and terminate above a splash block; also, roof drain (RD-1) shall be routed in a similar manner and terminate above a splash block. Item 27. Drawings, Sheet No. P202 – Level 2 Floor Plan/Sanitary Piping: In lieu of the deck drain indicated in Addendum No. 1, Item 15, PROVIDE deck drain indicated as DD-1, equal to Zurn Industries, LLC, Model No: Z627-C. Item 28. Drawings, Sheet No. P301 – Plumbing Details: REVISE Detail A/P301 as modified by A/SD4(2) Supplemental Drawing SD-4(2) included herewith. Item 29. Drawings, Sheet no. E201 – Lighting Plans/Electrical: CLARIFICATION that pool lighting shall be controlled by Contactor #1 (increase to a 10-pole lighting contactor); also, pool lighting transformers as specified on Sheet No. SP1.0 shall be mounted adjacent to Panel L3. Item 30. Drawings, Sheet No. SP1.0 through SP12.0: CLARIFICATION that only specifications related to the pool are included in the SP drawings. Item 31. Drawings, Sheet No. SP9.0 – Main Pool Details: CLARIFICATION that the pool finish shall be an exposed aggregate finish, including Activity Pool (Contractor shall provide Product Data for Owner/Architect review and approval); also, CLARIFICATION that pool shells (including Activity Pool) shall be 4,500 PSI monolithic shotcrete construction. Item 32. Drawings, Sheet No. SP9.0 – Main Pool Details, Gutter Wall and Floor Detail: CLARIFICATION regarding the pool light and that it should be installed above the elevation of the existing pool shell and therefore no cutting or repairing of the existing shell should be required; also, PROVIDE recess in new concrete wall for pool lights and maintain minimum 3-inches of concrete behind the light recess (thicken the wall as needed). Item 33. Drawings, Sheet No. SP9.0 – Main Pool Details, Floor Return Detain: REVISE Floor Return Detail as modified by Floor Return Detail/SD-4(3) Supplemental Drawing SD-4(3) included herewith. Item 34. Drawings, Sheet No. SP11.0 – Equipment Area Layout, Collector Tank Platform Detail: CLARIFICATION that note to “paint all exposed plumbing” (located above “Existing Lower Pool Shell”) refers to all pool related piping exposed to ambient light (natural or artificial), which also pertains to Sheet No. SP1.0, General Note 25; also, CLARIFICATION to Note 2 (located above the detail) that the lid material shall be capable of withstanding a 500-pound point load anywhere on the lid or 100 PSF, whichever is worse. Item 36. Drawings, Sheet No. SP11.0 – Equipment Area Layout: CLARIFICATION that the equipment will not need any isolation or check valves (pumps will be able to be isolated with the valves provided). All other provisions of the Contract Documents and Specifications not in conflict with this Addendum shall remain in full force and effect.
