Arlington, MA – Sushil Tuli, President and CEO of
Leader Bank, N.A., was awarded TiE-Boston’s Lifetime
Achievement Award at its 16th Annual Gala on December
3, 2015. TiE-Boston presents this prestigious award is
to an entrepreneur who has demonstrated talent and
tenacity by founding and growing successful businesses.
Nitin Nohria, Dean of Harvard Business School engaged
Mr. Tuli in a fireside chat at the award ceremony and said,
“Sushil is an extraordinary entrepreneur who has built a
great business on the foundations of serving customers
with integrity.”

Sushil Tuli founded Leader Bank in 2001 with seven
employees and $6.5 million in assets. Only thirteen years later, under Sushil’s leadership, the Bank has
grown exponentially to nearly $1 billion in assets and over 220 employees, serving as one of the largest
home purchase and small business lenders in Massachusetts. Leader Bank’s success is based upon Sushil

Sushil Tuli has been a key supporter of TiE-Boston since its inception, both as a Charter Member and a
member of the Board of Directors. During this time, he has served on various committees of TiE-Boston
and participated in many discussion panels. He also has served in leadership roles in finance and banking
for over twenty years, servicing as the Chairman of the Massachusetts Mortgage Banking Association
and advising Fannie Mae both on its Regional Advisory Board and Affordable Housing Advisory Council.
With a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Punjab University, India, Sushil Tuli also graduated
from Harvard Business School, Executive Education OPM Program in 2010. Recently, Mr. Tuli received
HomeStart, Inc.’s 2015 President’s Award
for his efforts to combat homelessness, and
the Boston Business Journal honored Sushil
and Leader Bank as with a 2015 Leaders in
Diversity Award. Governor Baker also recently
appointed Sushil to the Massachusetts
Economic Development Planning Council.
