Note for Contractors.
1.
Tenders once offered shall not be withdrawn except with the permission of
Municipal Commissioner.

Tender once accepted shall be binding upon the contractor even if the formal

No Claims shall be paid in case of any variation in the quantities of Bills of
Quantities (BOQ) upto any extent.
4.
Contractor is requested to see the site physically before tendering. He is also
requested to quote the rates keeping in view the points mentioned in relevant pages
of tender documents. As this project is time bound, no delay will be allowed.
5.
The contractor shall have to submit the tenders in duplicate i.e. two sets-original and
duplicate.
6.
Before submitting the tenders, Contractors are requested to see the website 24 hrs.

4.
Conditions for the Water Supply & Electric Supply
Water Supply:
The contractor shall arrange at his own cost, a suitable supply of piped wholesome water
for the construction of the works and provide a satisfactory supply of potable water for
drinking., washing, sanitation and cleaning down, The contractor will be responsible for all the
costs where applicable of connection, meter installation, water consumed, water required for
testing purposes, disconnection and the laying, maintenance and ultimate removal of any
distribution system around the site. If supply by AMC then AMC same will be charged as per
Norms of AMC.
Electricity:
Electric supply shall be made available at the site by Contractor. Contractor must make
his own arrangements with Electricity Supply Authorities and with other contractors to connect
to and take a supply from such services, paying all costs in Connection therewith. Necessary
Documents for getting Electric supply/connection will be arranged by AMC Authority. The
Contractor shall be entitled to use such supply. Electricity as may be available on the site for
purpose of the work and shall pay such charges as is fixed by the appropriate supply Authorities.
In case if there is any delay in supply of power & water at site or any interruption or
fault in the power during the work. No compensation shall be paid for idle labor staff,
machineries and for use of diesel operating sets etc. as the case may be.

I/We the undersigned have carefully gone through and clearly understood the Tender
documents of above mentioned project comprising of Notice Inviting tenders, Articles of
Agreement, Scope of work, Definition of terms, notes Instructions/Information to Tenderer,
Condition of Contract, special condition of contract, Appendices, Specifications, Schedule of
quantities and tendered drawings furnished by AHMEDABAD MUNICIPAL CORPORATION.
I/We have satisfied myself/ourselves as to the location of site, examined drawings. I/We have

pertaining to work before submitting tenders.
I/We do hereby offer to execute and complete the whole of the work within the time

rates which I/we have quoted in the schedule-B or at such other rates as maybe fixed under the

In the event of this tender being accepted I/We agree to enter into an agreement and when
required and execute the contract, according to your form of agreement as or in default where of

8. Damage to persons and property :
The contractor shall be liable for and shall indemnify the Employer against any
liability, loss, claim or proceedings whatsoever arising under any statute or at common
law in respect of personal injury to or the death of any person whomsoever arising out of
or in the course of or caused by the carrying out the works, unless due to any act or
neglect of the Employer or of any person for whom the Employer is responsible.
The contractor shall be responsible for all injury to persons, animals or things,
and for allstructural and decorative damage to property which may arise from the
operation or neglect of himself or of any nominated sub-contractor's employees, whether
such injury or damage arise from carelessness, accident or any other cause what ever in
any way connected with the carrying out of this contract. This clause shall be held to
include, interalia,, any damage to buildings, whether immediately adjacent or otherwise
and damage to roads, streets, good paths, bridges or way as well as all damage caused to
the buildings and works forming the subject of this contract by frost or other inclemency
of weather. The contractor shall indemnify the employer and hold him harmless in
respect of all and any expenses arising from any such injury or damage to persons or
property as aforesaid and also in respect of any claim made in respect of injury or
damage under any acts of government or otherwise and also in respect of any award of
compensation or damages consequent upon such claim.
The contractor shall reinstate all damages of every sort mentioned in this clause,
at his own cost, so as to deliver up the whole of the contractor works complete and
perfect in every respect and so as to make good or otherwise satisfy all claims for
damage to the property of third parties.
The contractor shall indemnify the employer against all claims which may be
made against the employer by any member of the public or other third party in respect of
anything which may arise in respect of the work or in consequence thereof and shall at
his own expense arrange to effect and maintain until the virtual completion of the
contract, against all claims which may be made upon the employer whether under the
workmen's compensation act or any other statute in force during the currency of this
contract or at common law in respect of any employee of the contract or any subcontractor and shall at his own expense effect and maintain, until the virtual completion
of the contract.
He shall also indemnify the employer in respect of any costs, charges or
expenses arising out of any claim or proceeding and also in respect of any award of or
compensation of damage arising there form.
The employer with the concurrence of Architect shall be at liberty and is hereby
empowered to deduct the amount of any damage, compensation, costs charges and
expenses arising or accruing from or in respect of any such claim or damage from any
sum or sums due or to become duet to the contractor.
9. Clause for Extra Item:
-If any extra item crops up during the progress of work the same shall be carried
out by the Contractor and he shall be paid at the rate fixed by City Engineer
which shall be fixed as lowest of the rates derived by rate analysis based on the
following two methods.
(i) Rate analysis based on approved BOQ item rates or Govt. SOR 2011-12(Ahmedabad
Division)plus or minus contractor’s tender premium or rebate as the case may be.
(ii) Rate analysis based on current market rates. This shall be based on
• The material costs, the labour costs, the cost of use of all plant,
machinery and equipment, the cost of all temporary and incidental
works, the overheads and the Contractors profit.
• The overheads shall be taken at 3 % of the sum of material costs, the
labour costs, the cost of use of all plant, machinery and equipment,
the cost of all temporary and incidental works.
• The Contractors profit shall be taken at 10 % of the sum of material
costs, the labour costs, the cost of use of all plant, machinery and
equipment, the cost of all temporary and incidental works, the
overheads.

SPECIAL NOTE
Clause: 1
No contractor shall employ any child having age up to 14 years, as it is prohibited
by child labour regulation act-1986. Hon. Supreme Court has given certain guide lines and
as per guide lines, if employment of detected on the site work the employer is contractor
shall have to deposit Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) in the welfare fund.
If the employer refuses to deposit then action will be taken for contempt of court
of Supreme Court judgment and prosecuted by concern authority. Because of the breach
of any provision child prohibition and Regulation Act – 1986 by the contractor and for
the Corporation has to pay any amount then the Municipal Corporation shall recover the
said amount from the contractor.

Wherever a reference to any Indian standard appears in the
specifications, it shall be taken to mean as reference to the latest edition
of the same of force on the date of agreement.
In "Mode of Measurement" in the specifications wherever a dispute arises
in the absence of specific mention for a particulars point / aspect, the
same in the relevant Indian Standards shall be referred to.
All measurement and computations, unless otherwise specified shall be
carried out nearest to the following limits :i) Length, width and depth, Height 0.01 Meter
ii) Areas
0.01 Sq.mts.
iii) Cubic contents
0.01 Cu. mts.
In recording dimensions of work, the sequence of length, width and
height (Depth) or thickness shall be followed.
Definite particulars covered in the items of work, though not mentioned or
elucidate in its specifications shall be deemed to be included therein.
Approval of the samples of various materials given by the Engineer in
charge shall not absolve the contractor from the responsibility of
replacing defective materials brought on site or materials used in the
work found defective at a later date. The contractor shall have no claim to
any payment or compensation whatsoever on account of any such
materials being rejected by the Engineer in charge.
The contractor’s rate for the item of work shall be for the work completed
in all respect.
Materials, as and when rejected by the Engineer in charge shall be
removed from the site of work within 24 hours.
All work shall be carried out in a manner applying the best technique.
All tools, templates, machinery and equipment for correct execution of the
work as well as for checking lines, levels, alignment of the works & all
precautionary measures during execution shall have to be kept in
sufficient numbers and in good working condition at the site of the work.
Special modes of the construction not adopted in general Engineering
practice, if proposed to be adopted by the contractor shall be considered
only if the contractor provided satisfactory evidence that such special
mode of construction and completion of work to the required strength and
quality. Acceptance of the same by the Engineer in charge shall not
however, absolve the contractor from the responsibility of any adverse
effect and concordance of adopting the same in the course of exaction or
completion of the work.
The contractor shall be responsible for observing the rules and regulation
imposed under the "Minor Mineral Act", and such other laws and rules
prescribed by the Government from time to time.
All necessary safety measures and precautions (incl. those laid down in
the various relevant Indian Standard)/ traffic diversion work if required
shall be taken to engrave the safety of men, materials and machinery on
the work and also of the work itself.
Quantity measured in the tender is approximate. It may increase or
decrease upto any extent, looking to the quantum of actual work, for
which no any claim shall be entertained for the same.
The work in general shall be carried out as per standard specifications of
the respective item of work to be executed & also as per direction of

consultant/Medical equipment Consultant/ Air-conditioning consultant,
AMC engineers/ Medical authorities.
The general terms & conditions of the contract shall be applicable & shall
be binding on the contractor. The contract agreement shall have to be
executed between AMC & the agency to whom work is awarded for
execution.
The time limit shall be reckoned after the seven days, from the date of
issue of the written work order to the contractor. No time extension will be
granted under any circumstances.
In case of any ambiguity in specifications mentioned in this tender, the
interpretation given by Additional City Engineer (Bridge Projects) of
A.M.C. will be final and binding to the Contractor.
The testing charges for materials shall be born by the contractor.
No price escalation or price rise difference will be paid for the said work
Contractor shall have to enclose the copies of required documents along
with the tender like - valid registration, Income tax clearance certificate,
Experience certificate & EMD, etc. failing which his tender shall be liable
for rejection.
The rate quoted by the contractor shall be inclusive the cost of all
materials, labors, prevailing municipal charge/octroi, Central/State govt.
taxes & also the cost of precautionary measures & incidental
charges/overheads etc. as per tender condition.
Defect Liability period for the tender shall be 1(one ) year after the
date of completion of work.
Contractor shall submit bank guarantee against defect liability
period of 5% of contract value, which shall be released after
completion of defect liability period.
Liquidated damages: If contractor fails to complete the work within
specified timelimit as mentioned in tender document, contractor
shall pay 0.01% of the contract value per day. Maximum value of the
liquidated damage shall be 10% of the contract value.
No advance such as machinary advance, mobilization advance or
material advance will be given.
The retention money shall be released along with release of payment of
final bill ,after the satisfactory completion of work.
Conditional tenders will not be accepted.
Municipal Commissioner reserves the rights to reject any or all the tenders

a) Frame work: A grid of section 600 MM X 600 MM is to be made up of G.I. T sections
wherein the main tee is duly suspended from the RCC slab roof. The sizes of the
members shall be as under & the entire grid should be able to take a suspended load of
minimum 18 kg/Sqm.
Perimeter Wall Angle: 0.40 MM Thick gauge having equal flanges of size 22 MM made
from pre-coated G.I.Coil of length 3.0m.
Main Tees of 3.60M / 3.0 M length having a web height of 42 MM with a 8 MM Blub at
the top having an exposed bottom of 15 MM silhoute capped with a Precoated G.I.coil
wherein the coil thickness is 0.33 MM.
Cross Tees of length 1.20 M & 0.60 M having a web height of 32 MM & an exposed
bottom of 15 MM Silhoute capped with Pre-coated G.I. coil wherein the coil thickness

b) Ceiling tile: Light weight Calcium Silicate Tiles and made from hydrated Calcium
silicate, reinforcing fibers natural fillers free from formaldehyde & other harmful
materials shall not contain any toxic ingredients. The tiles shall be of size 595 Mm X
595 Mm having reinforced edges of 24 MM thickness all around in a collar of width 24
MM and 10 MM thickness at the center. The tiles shall have an overall density of 350
Kg/M3 in the body and 450 Kg/ m3 at the edges. The tiles shall be primer coated on
both sided and the fair surface shall be having a factory finish in two coats of white
dispersion type solvent free paint.
The tiles should be characterized with 100 % relative humidity resistance,
incombustibility as per BS 476, Part IV, thermal conductivity of 0.043w/mo KC , and light
reflectance > 85 % and an NRC of 0.90 (Sound attenuation: 32 dB). The Tiles should
weight approx. 5.5 Kg/m2. The Tiles shall be ecofriendly and using more than 50 %
recycled material.
FIXING THE G.I.SUSPENSION SYSTEM TO THE CEILING:
The main runners of size silhoute 42 MM X 15 MM X 3.00 MM length spaced at 1200
MM centers shall be securely suspended with G.I.Suspension wire of 4 MM dia. With
necessary level adjusters made from spring steel with adequate tension in one
direction. The G.I. wire is to be suspended at 1200 mm centers from the soffit with the
aid of soffit cleats made of zinc alloy having dimension 25 mm X 35 MM X 1.6 MM
secured to the soffit with metal dash fastners of size 6 MM X 50 MM.
The last hanger at the end of each main runner should not be greater than 600 MM
from the adjacent wall. Then flush fitting cross tees of size 15 mm centers at right
angles to the main tees, 600 MM X 600 Mm modules are then to be formed by fitting
cross tees of size 32 MM X 15 MM X 0.6 Mm length centrally between the longer cross
Tees.
The system shall rest on periphery walls / partition on the wall angle of section 0.40 Mm
thick gauge having equal flanges of 22 MM made from Precoated G.I.coil of length

b) Ceiling tile: Light weight mineral fiber Tiles and made from natural mineral,
reinforcing fibers natural fillers free from formaldehyde & other harmful materials shall
not contain any toxic ingredients. The tiles shall be of size 595 Mm X 595 Mm having
reinforced edges of 15 MM thickness. The tiles shall have an overall density of 350
Kg/M3 in the body and 450 Kg/ m3 at the edges. The tiles shall be primer coated on
both sided and the fair surface shall be having a factory finish in two coats of white
dispersion type solvent free paint.
The tiles should be characterized with 100 % relative humidity resistance,
incombustibility as per BS 476, Part IV, thermal conductivity of 0.043w/mo KC , and light
reflectance > 85 % and an NRC of 0.90 (Sound attenuation: 32 dB). The Tiles should
weight approx. 5.5 Kg/m2. The Tiles shall be ecofriendly and using more than 50 %
recycled material.
FIXING THE G.I.SUSPENSION SYSTEM TO THE CEILING:
The main runners of size 32 MM X 24 MM X 3.60 MM length spaced at 1200 MM
centers shall be securely suspended with G.I. Suspension wire of 4 MM dia. With
necessary level adjusters made from spring steel with adequate tension in one
direction. The G.I. wire is to be suspended at 1200 mm centers from the soffit with the
aid of soffit cleats made of zinc alloy having dimension 25 mm X 35 MM X 1.6 MM
secured to the soffit with metal dash fasteners of size 6 MM X 50 MM.
The last hanger at the end of each main runner should not be greater than 600 MM
from the adjacent wall. Then flush fitting cross tees of size 28 mm centers at right
angles to the main tees, 600 MM X 600 Mm modules are then to be formed by fitting
cross tees of size 26 MM X 24 MM X 0.6 Mm length centrally between the longer cross
Tees.
The system shall rest on periphery walls / partition on the wall angle of section 0.40 Mm
thick gauge having equal flanges of 22 MM made from Precoated G.I.coil of length

aid of soffit cleats made of zinc alloy having dimension 25 mm X 35 MM X 1.6 MM
secured to the soffit with metal dash fastners of size 6 MM X 50 MM.

ITEM NO. :7 KOTA STONE :shall be chisel dressed and the top surface shall be
machine polished with joints running true and parallel from side to side. Stones
should be laid on a bed of cement or lime mortar. The pattern of the flooring shall be
as per the Architects’/ Consultants’ drawing. Thickness of
mortar bedding shall be as specified in the item specification. The stone slabs shall
be thoroughly wetted with clean water. Neat cement shall be spread over the mortar
bed and the slabs shall be placed one by one. Keeping in check the level and line of
the flooring. The slabs are then gently tapped with wooden mallet till it is firmly and
properly bedded. There should be no voids left. The joints should be not be more
than 1mm thick. The joints should not smooth. If specification terrazzo filling of
specified thickness shall be done in the joints between the kota stone slabs. The
floor should be kept covered with damp sand or water for a week. Stone should be
of sizes as specified. The stone shall be machine polished and than cleaned with
oxalic acid. If the contractor is asked to mop the floor with kerosene and water by
the engineer, the same be done without any extra cost. This shall be carried out
daily at least for 10 times in 7 days.

Granite shall be of approved colour and quality. The stone shall be hard, even,
sound regular in shape and generally uniform in colour. It shall be without any soft
veins, cracks of flows.
The thickness of the stone shall be as specified in the items.
All exposed face shall be double polished to tender truly smooth and the even
reflecting surface. The exposed edges and corners shall be rounded off as directed.
The exposed edges shall be machine cut and shall have uniform thickness.

ITEM NO. :016,17 WASH BASIN :Providing and fixing wash basin with single
hole for pillar top white C.I. or M.S. brackets painted white intruding cutting
holes, and making good the same but excluding fittings, vetreous china flat back
wash basin 550 mm. x 400 mm. in white colour.
1.0. Materials: 1.1. The white glazed earthenware wash basin shall be 550 cm. x
400 mm. of 1st quality and make as approved by the Engineer-in-charge. The
wash basin shall conform to M-59.
2.0. Workmanship :
2.1. The wash basin shall be fixed on the wall as and where directed. The wash
basin shall be supported on a pair of M.S. or C.I. brackets fixed in C.M. 1 : 3 (1
cement: 3 sand). The bracket shall conform to I. S.: 775-1962. The wall plaster
on the rear shall be cut to rest the top edge of the wash basin. After fixing the
basin, plaster shall be made good and surface finished to match with the
existing one.
2.2. The bracket shall be painted white with ready-mixed paint.
2.3.The C.I. brass trap and union shall be connected to 32 mm. dia. waste pipe
which shall be suitably bent towards the wall and which shall discharge into an
open drain leading to a gully trap or direct into the gully-trap on the ground floor
and shall be connected to a waste pipe through a floor trap-on the upper floors.
C.P. brass trap and union may not be provided where the surface drain or a
floor trap is placed directly under the basin and the waste is discharged into
vertically.
2.4. The height of the front edge of the wash basin from the floor level shall be

ITEM NO. :0018 PVC PIPES
(A) Providing and supplying of standard lengths BIS marked rigid unplasticised PVC
(UPVC) pipes with approved quality and brand of solvent cement coupler joints
(including cost of solvent cement and one coupler with each pipe), conforming to
IS:4985 (Latest edition) including of freight, loading, unloading, stacking etc.complete.
(1) 160 mm diameter pipe (OD) having test pressure of 4 Kg/cm2
(2) 50 mm diameter pipe (OD) having test pressure of 4 Kg/cm2
D.8.5.1 General
The pipes shall conform to IS-4985-1988 or the latest edition of IS codes for
unplaticized P.V.C. pipes for potable water supplies with BIS marks on each pipe.
The make of PVC pipe shall be any one of the following.
(1) Finolex (2) Dutron (3) Supreme
The details given below briefly cover the requirements for dimensions and tests for
unplasticized P.V.C. pipes.
D.8.5.2 Composition
The materials from which the pipe is produced shall consists substantially of virgin
polyvinyl chloride to which may be added only those additives that are needed to
facilitate the manufacture of sound pipe of good surface finish, mechanical strength and
capacity under conditions of use. No other rework material shall be used.
D.8.5.3 Dimensions
The outside diameter, the tolerance outside diameter and wall thickness of pipe shall be
as per IS 4985 (Table No.1).
D.8.5.4 Classification of Pipes The pipes shall be suitable for the maximum test
pressure of 4 Kg/cm2.
D.8.5.5 Supply of Pipes, Couplers, Fittings, Solvent Cement
• The pipes shall be supplied in straight lengths of 4, 5 & 6 meters with a
tolerance of (+)16 mm and (-) 0 mm. • The injection moulded couplers, specials, fittings
etc. of relative diameter shall be supplied as per the requirement along with the pipe at
no extra cost.
• The solvent cement of approved mark and manufacturer shall be supplied as per
standard consumption for each coupler joint, as well as for specials fittings etc. as
directed by the Engineer.
• All the PVC pipes, couplers, fittings, specials shall be staked in a closed store so as to
protect them against ultra violet rays from sun as well as frequent changes in
temperature.
D.8.5.6 Marking
Each pipe, coupler, specials, fittings etc. shall be indelibly marked at internal of not
more than 3 meters in colour as indicated in Clause No. 10.1.1 of IS. The marking shall
show the followings:a) The manufacturer’s name or trade mark.
b) Outside diameter
c) Maximum working pressure, batch number
d) BIS certification marking.
(B) Lowering, laying and jointing PVC pipes and specials of following class and
diameter except cost of PVC pipes and cement solvent, giving satisfactory hydraulic
testing as per ISI Code, etc complete.
• The excavation for trenches will be done before laying of the pipes as per required
depth and width so that adequate space can be made available for joint.
• Before laying, the pipes shall be brushed through out the length so that the
dust and soil can be removed.
• All the specials such as bends, tees, reducer, etc shall be fixed as per instruction of
engineer in charge in the pipeline.
• The pipe shall be hydraulically tested during the testing & no leakage shall be
observed. If, leakage is observed, it will be set rightly by the contractor at his own
cost as per the instruction of engineer in charge. 30% payment shall be made after
hydraulic testing of pipeline.The scope for the item cover:Cost of additional excavation
required for jointing clearing the site of all scrubs, bushes and trees and dewatering
where necessary.Labour for laying pipes in trenches to correct alignment at required
depth with tools, including cutting of pipes and specials if required for laying of pipes
including connecting pipes to specials and ppurtenances.
Cost of the scaffolding, tools and plants, ropes etc.Protection of existing works from
damage and cost or repair to the damages carried out to the existing structure, sewer
line telephone/electricity cables, electric cables,electric lines, gas pipe line, irrigation
pipeline etc.Labour for making joints including material for joints, tools as well as tests.
Testing of pipes for leakage under water pressure and flushing the pipes after testing
and construction work shall have to be arranged by the contractor at his own cost.
Method of measurement and payment:
The measurement shall be recorded in running meter of pipe length laid along the
centerline of axis of pipeline for consolidated activities (a) & (b) including pipe
material & specials if required. No payment shall be made for overlaps etc. 30%
payment of this item shall be with held for satisfactory hydraulic testing. The payment
shall be made on running meter basis as per relevant item of Schedule B of the tender.
ITEM NO. :19 UPVC PIPES AND FITTINGS :
The pipes shall be round and shall be supplied in straight lengths with socketed
ends.
The internal and external surfaces of pipes shall be smooth, clean, and free
from grooving and other defects. The ends shall be cleanly cut and square with
the axis of the pipe. The pipes shall be designated by external diameter and
shall conform to IS:4985-1981.
Fittings:
Fittings shall be of the same make as that of pipes, injection moulded and shall
conform to Indian Standard.
3.3.6.2 Laying and Jointing:
The pipes shall be laid and clamped to wooden plugs fixed above the surface of
the wall. Alternatively plastic clamps of suitable designs shall be preferred.
Provision shall be made for the effect of thermal movement by not gripping or
disturbing the pipe at supports between the anchors for suspended pipes. The
supports shall allow the repeated movements to take place without abrasion.
Jointing for UPVC pipes shall be made by means of solvent cement for
horizontal lines and `O’ rubber ring for vertical line. The type of joint shall be
used as per site conditions/direction of the Client’s Representative. Where
UPVC pipes are to be used for rain water pipes, the pipe shall be finished with
G.I. adopt
er for insertion in the R.C.C. slab for a water proof joint complete
as directed by Client’s Representative.
3.3.6.3 Supports:
UPVC pipes require supports at close intervals. Recommended support spacing
for
unplasticised PVC pipes is 1400 mm for pipes 50 mm dia and above. Pipes
shall be aligned properly before fixing them on the wooden plugs with clamps.
Even if the wooden plugs are fixed using a plumb line, pipe shall also be
checked for its alignment before clamping, piping shall be properly supported
on, or suspended from clamps,
hangers as specified and as required. The Contractor shall adequately design
all the brackets, saddles, anchors, clamps and hangers and be responsible for
their structural sufficiency. Pipe supports shall be primer coated with rust
preventive paint.
3.3.6.4 Repairs:
While temporary or emergency repairs may be made to the damaged pipes,
permanent repairs should be made by replacement of the damaged section. If
any split or chip out occurs in the wall of the pipe, a short piece of pipe of
sufficient length to cover the damaged portion of the pipe is cut. The sleeve is
cut longitudinally and heated sufficiently to soften it so that it may be slipped
over the damaged hard pipe.
3.3.6.5 Testing:
All lengths of PVC rain water pipes shall be fully tested for water tightness by
means of water test maintained for not less than 30 minutes. All pipes shall be
subjected to a test pressure of at least 1.5 meter head of water head. The test
pressure shall, however, not exceed 6 meter head at any point. The pipes shall
be plugged preferably with standard design plugs with rubber plugs on both
ends. The upper end shall, however, be
connected to a pipe for filling with water and getting the required head.
ITEM NO. :20 RIGID PVC PIPES AND FITTINGS :
The pipes shall be round and shall be supplied in straight lengths with socketed ends.

PVC VENTILTILATING COWL: Providing and fixing in position PVC Ventilating cowl to
pipes.
Mode of measurement:
The fixtures are measured in numbers.
ITEM NO. :0022 PIPE CLAMPS (system to support/clamp all type of pipes on wall
or suspend it from ceiling): Providing and fixing 'Shaivi' brand heavy duty,
electroplated MS (6mm thick) 'L' bends of different sizes as required per site condition
with slotted FRP channel of 3.5mm thick with necessary accessories like nut bolt,
washer set, EPDM rubber mounted 'U' bolt along with 1.5mm washer and nut, stud with
anchor fastener for vertical suspenders under ceiling. Product and accessories to be
customized in length as per site condition. Price included making of necessary
arrangements and cleaning on site to fix the system.
ITEM NO. :23 GLASS FILMS: Providing and fixing sun control/ frosted glass film:
Technical details of the work are as under.

Mode of measurement:
Length and breath of clear opening of windows shall be measured and paid in
sq. mt.

ITEM NO. :0024 Providing 20 gauge Stainless steel 304 grade plates with vinyl stickers
cut and pasted in various size in any language.
ITEM NO. :0025 Fixing any size S.S. name plates in bk./concrete/Alluminium any base
with screws and necessary accessories at any height and level.
ITEM NO. :0026 Providing 2.0 mm th. acrylic sheet in blue background and white
letters. The sheet shall be made as per sizes required, as direc. by engg. in charge.
ITEM NO. :0027 ACRYLIC NAME PLATES
Providing and fixing signage on 3 mm acrylic sheet of approved make and shade and
size with LG make vinyl sticker type lettering complete as per architectural drawing.
Rate includes cost of all materials, including steel, connectors, welding, primer, paint
and all labor for fabrication, transportation and erection etc. are included.
Mode of measurement:
Payment is done in square mt.
ITEM NO. :0028,29 GLASS AND GLAZING
1).
SCOPE
The work covered by this specification consists furnishing and installing
of all glass for Doors, Windows, Ventilators. etc. complete and in strict
accordance with specification and applicable drawings. in and the
2).
GENERAL
The work mentioned in this section shall be measured separately only in
cases where it is specified so, distinctly in the schedule of quantities.
The sizes of the glass if indicated on the drawings are approximate. The
actual sizes required shall be determined by measuring the frames to
receive the glass.
The thickness of the glass shall be as given in the technical specification
for materials, under the title ‘Glass’.
Glazing to steel, doors and windows shall be done in compliance with
the suppliers instructions, using the clips and the beads supplied.
Glass panes shall be mixed in position only after the steel or wood work
has received a primer coat and one of the finishes coats of point.
Frosted glass panel shall be fixed with the frosted face inside. Care shall
be taken that water does not pass through the putty used for fixing the
glass.
Glass in wooden/steel doors and windows shall be kept in position only
after fixing putty at its back. A thin layer of putty shall be provided
between the glass panes and the beading and also between the steel or
woodwork and the glass, such that no voids are left in the joints. Broken
glass prior to acceptance shall be neatly removed and replaced at the
contractor's expenses. Edges of glass louvers shall be ground and left
free of any sharp edges.
Glass shall be protected against any damage. After inspection any
labels, paint, smear and spots shall be removed from the glass and the
glass shall be washed clean.
3).
SAMPLES
The contractor shall submit for approval, four samples of all material
specified under the specification.
ITEM NO. :0030 MIRROR WITH GHANA TEAK WOOD FRAME
The teak wood (Ghana or equivalent) shall be of good quality as required for the item to
be executed.Teak wood (Ghana or equivalent) generally br free from large, loose, dead
or cluster knots, flaws, shakes, warps, twists bends, or any other defects. It shall
generally be uniform in substance and of straight fibres as far as possible. It shall be
free form rot, decay, harmful fungi and other defects of harmful nature which affect the
strength durability of its usefulness for purpose for which it is required. The colour shall
be uniform as far as possible. Any effort like painting, using any adhesive or resin
materials made to hide the
defects shall render the pieces liable to rejection by the Clerk- Of- Work or Engineer-inCharge 4mm thick hardboard shall be used back side for support to mirror. Mirror shall
be modi or saint gobain or equivalent 5mm thick.
All Scantlings, planks etc. shall be sawn in straight lines and planes in the direction of
grains and of uniform thickness. The tolerances in the dimensions shall be allowed at
the rate of 1.00mm per face to be planed.
Second class teak wood shall have no individual hard and sound knots shall be more
than 15 sq. cms. In size and aggregate area of such knots shall not exceed 2 % of the
