GYPSUM PLASTERBOARD
Standard Board
A skin for the wall
Gypsum is the ideal surface for a wall because it has the same PH value and
thermal conductivity properties as the human skin. Gypsum is made up of
minerals, and is free of any materials that could negatively influence a sense of
well-being. Gypsum is not harmful to human skin : modern medicine uses gypsum
directly on the skin to set broken bones; dental technology uses gypsum for molds.

APERTURA (CLEANEO)
Knauf Acoustic And Aesthetic Ceilings
Knauf Apertura (Cleaneo) ceilings give you the freedom to carefully control the acoustic properties of a
room whlist creating stunning, seamless jointed aesthetics and improving air quality with the Cleaneo
Effect.
Apertura (Cleaneo) Aesthetic Sound Absorption Solutions
Accurate and effective sound absorption is crucial to the effectiveness of many rooms including learning
environments, communal areas and atriums. Knauf Apertura (Cleaneo) perforated and patterned sound
absorption boards provide effective control over reverberation whilst offering the designer complete
creative freedom and a quality of finish that simply cannot be achieved with tiles.
Controlling Pollutants - the ‘Cleaneo Effect’
Knauf Apertura (Cleaneo) boards incorporate volcanic Zeolite to act as a molecular sieve, cleaning the
air that passes through it by removing a range of impurities.
With regulations making buildings increasingly air tight the accumulation of pollutants in indoor air is a
new challenge. Especially critical are volatile organic compounds that not only have an unpleasant
odour but can, depending on the concentration, be damaging to health. Knauf Apertura (Cleaneo) is
able to reduce the concentration of these pollutants in indoor air.

DANOLINE
Perforated Expressive Gypsum Plasterboard
Danoline Laminated Ceiling Tiles
Danotile
Danoline Tiles are mounted with a visible Lay-in grid system. The ceiling tiles look like a smooth, white
faced surface, which is environmentally friendly and ensures great usability in rooms with relatively high
humidity. The surface is easy to maintain and will therefore withstand tough cleaning and disinfection
agents with PH levels 2.5 - 13, as it has a good mechanical resistance. Apart from Danoline Tile’s fine
qualities, it is also an economically advantageous solution.

Danoline Perforated Ceiling Tiles
Plaza
The setting of a Danoline Plaza ceiling is maybe best highlighted by using a narrow grid system.
Danoline Plaza 600 is fast and easy to mount and adapt, as all edges remain hidden above the grid
system. It is often used as a frieze/margin panel for Markant and Linear. Danoline Plaza 600 combines
the qualities of gypsum with favourable pricing.

Danoline Perforated Ceiling Tiles
Belgravia
Danoline Belgravia is the ceiling with a grid system that is semi-recessed. Supplied with tegular and
bevelled edges, the tiles guarantee a very directionally stable ceiling and are less sensitive to damaging
the edges. As they are being installed, they fall into place in the suspension system with distinct ease and
simplicity.

DESIGNATION
SECTION SIZE
mm
356 x 406
Fixed to soffit or section flange.
356 x 368
Butt joints
Adjacent board joints staggered a
minimum 300 mm. Backing strips
only behind joints in beam casing.
305 x 305
Fireboard casing
Direct edge-fixing with either staples
or screws.
254 x 254
Skirting

membrane skirting bonded direct to
FIreboard casing.
Establishing Board Thickness
COLUMNS & BEAMS
203 x 203
152 x 152
To establish the board thickness required for steel column and beam encasement,
proceed as follows:
•
Refer to tables to Locate the appropriate size of beam or column on the
table and read off its Hp/A Factor depending on whether 3 or 4 sided
protection is required.
•
Establish the period of fire resistance required.
•
Refer to the adjoining table to determine the board thickness required.
•
For castellated sections, adopt the above procedure, then add 20% to the
indicated thickness and specify the next highest available board thickness.
Example
Requirement:
One hour fire protection to 254 x 254mm x 167 Kg/m steel beam with three
sided encasement.
Solution
Section Factor = 40 Hp/A m1 (from Table) Use single layer of fireboard.

Knauf Ready Mix
ACCESSORIES
Knauf C Channel
Galvanised steel stud sections size
50mm, 75mm & 100mm are used in
non-load bearing partition systems and
fire resistance partition. Knauf roll formed
C Channels are used to engage in head
and floor tracks. Knauf DC 60 ceiling
channel forms the upper and lower
supports of Knauf C-Form I.
Formulated for a professional quality
finishing for drywall joints. A ready mixed
formulation for embedding Knauf Joint
Tape and for filling and finishing coats
in interior plasterboards applications.
Also suitable for covering corner beads,
fasteners, trims and for skim coating
entire gypsum panel surfaces and for
applying simple textures.
Knauf Joint Tape
Knauf U Channel
Galvanised steel track sections size
50mm, 75mm & 100mm are used as
the standard head and floor track for
partitions. Perimeter channel providing
support at the junction of ceiling to wall.
Knauf Joint Tape provides strong, optimal
seamless joints if used together with Knauf
Jointing Compound or Knauf Ready Mix
Joint Cement. Knauf Joint Tape is 50mm
wide with micro perforations for joints
reinforcement, suitable for manual or
machine application. Knauf Joint Tape
is one of the main components in Knauf
Partition System and ceiling.
Knauf Intumescent & Acoustic Mastic
Knauf C Channel Connector
Knauf Intumescent and Acoustic Mastic
is a rapid curing, water based acrylic
expanding fire resistant mastic. It is used
for sealing individual or grouped services
or for linear joint seal in fire separating
walls and floors to prevent the spread of
fire and smoke from one compartment to
another.
Knauf Putty Pad
For connecting straight lengths of DC60
channel.
Knauf Channel Intersection Connector
Locates and connects DC60 channels
(C-Form I).
Knauf Putty Pads are sheets of intumescent,
mouldable putty designed for use inside
and outside plastic electrical socket
boxes. They offer not only fire protection
but also ensure that the acoustic integrity
of a system is maintained, without the
need for baffle boxes.
Knauf Screw
Knauf Adjustable Hanger
Black phosphated screws with drill bit
tips for heavier gauge metal profiles
from 0.7mm to 1.2mm thick. Each box
includes one screwdriver tip.
Engages onto suspension rod and can
be slid up and down by compressing
the wing flanges. When the flanges are
released, the suspension rod is held fixed
in position. Enables adjustment of ceiling
void depth and easy levelling.
