FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS
INTENDED USE — The VT Volumetric Troffer combines the aesthetics and high performance with intelligent
LED engines for applications - offices, schools, retail locations and hospitals. High-efficacy light engine
delivers long life and excellent color, ensuring a superior quality lighting installation that is highly efficient
and sustainable. Featured nLight controls system provides design flexibility and ease of installation and
optimum energy savings.
Type
CONSTRUCTION — Rugged, one-piece cold-rolled steel coated polyester, painted after fabrication with
embossed facets. Impact-modified, single clear acrylic diffuser provides excellent shielding and wide
distribution. End plates include integral T-bar clips. Fixture may be mounted and wired in continuous rows.
Total fixture height is only 4-3/8".
Volumetric Troffer
OPTICS — Volumetric illumination is achieved by creating an optimal mix of light to walls, partitions, vertical
and horizontal work surfaces — rendering the interior space, objects and occupants in a more balanced,
complementary luminous environment. Linear faceted reflector cavity softens and distributes light into
the space while minimizing luminous contrast between the fixture and ceiling. Sloped end plates provide
a smooth, luminous transition between fixture and ceiling while enhancing the perception of fixture depth.
2VTLED
Advanced optical film provides superior LED concealment and even illumination across the diffuser.
2' x 2'
LED
ELECTRICAL — Long-life LEDs, coupled with high-efficiency drivers, provide superior quantity and quality
of illumination for extended service life. VTLED is rated to deliver L80 performance for 50,000 hours.
Standard nLight™ embedded controls make each luminaire addressable - allowing it to digitally communicate
with other nLight enabled controls such as dimmers, switches, occupancy sensors and photocontrols. Simply
connect all the nLight enabled control devices and the VTLED luminaires using standard Cat-5 cabling. Unique
plug-and-play convenience as devices and luminaires automatically discover each other and self-commission.
Lumen Management: Unique lumen management system (option N80) provides onboard intelligence that
actively manages the LED light source so that constant lumen output is maintained over the system life,
preventing the energy waste created by the traditional practice of over-lighting.
INDUSTRY RECOGNITION/AWARDS
Bi-level dimming option allows system to be switched to 50% power for compliance with common energy
codes while maintaining fixture appearance.
LED AccuDrive ™ driver delivers full-range dimming from 0-10V control signal.
Driver disconnect provided where required to comply with US and Canadian codes.
2012 RECOGNIZED
PRODUCT
INSTALLATION — Unique grid interfacing arrangement provides mounting into standard 1" and 9/16"
tee bar or screw slot grids. 9/16" allows fixture trim to hang level with architectural ceiling tiles. Drywall
ceiling adaptors available. Suitable for damp location.
LISTINGS — CSA Certified to meet U.S. and Canadian standards.

lumen output is maintained over the system life. Referred to as lumen management, this feature eliminates the energy waste
created by the traditional practice of over-lighting.
Without Lumen Management
With Lumen Management
Energy is wasted and light level is inconsistent.
Energy is saved and light level remains consistent.

CORELITE
DESCRIPTION
The Corelite R3 LED combines the internally developed Linear LED platform
from Cooper Lighting with the high sense of style and superior brightness
management that characterizes the CoreLite Class R family. The proprietary
LED platform delivers a soft, diffuse volume of pure white light that carries
the general character of a fluorescent source while simultaneously
eliminating unsightly socket shadows and the hassle of luminaire
maintenance. A guaranteed system life of 50,000 hrs combined with
exceptional efficacy make the R3 LED the ultimate solution to satisfy the
most stringent energy requirements with an ultra-light carbon footprint.

SPECIFICATION FEATURES
A ... Construction
Low profile housing constructed of
die formed 20 gauge cold rolled
steel with integral 20 gauge gear
tray.
B ... Reflector
Precision tooled, high reflectance
sheet metal which allows for easy
access to driver compartment from
below ceiling plenum.
C ... Shielding
High light transmission frosted
prismatic acrylic lens with UV
inhibitors minimizes lamp image
and ensures efficient light
distribution. Lenses secured to
housing via injection molded
inserts for easy lamp access.
D ... Electrical
Fixture equipped with proprietary
Cooper LED modules available in
3000, 3500 or 4000k with a CRI plus
or minus 85. Removable module
features aluminum extrusion
providing exceptional thermal

using universal voltage switch
mode LED drivers. Fixture and
modules certified to UL and CUL
standards. A 0 to 10V dimming
control is available (standard).
Mounting
Standard flange design works with
most lay in ceiling types. Integral
pryout tabs secure luminaire to
ceiling grid from above. Fixture
offers tie in locations for tie wire
on all corners, consult local code
for appropriate tie wire
recommendations.
NOTE: Concealed Ceiling
Class R may be installed into
inaccessible ceilings (sheet rock,
wood panel, etc.). This is achieved
with the Metalux DFW series
drywall frame-in kit, ordered
separately from Metalux. Specify
CC for the Corelite Ceiling Type.
Specify the following part numbers
separately, from Metalux: For 2x2,
order Metalux part DF-22W-U.

Installation
ColorFuse Powercore offers high-intensity, full-color surface grazing and wall washing
with Powercore technology. Powercore, which integrates LED power and data
management within the fixture, eases installation by eliminating the need for external
power supplies.
Owner / User Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the contractor, installer, purchaser, owner, and user to install,
maintain, and operate ColorFuse Powercore fixtures in such a manner as to comply
with all applicable codes, state and local laws, ordinances, and regulations. Consult with
the appropriate electrical inspector to ensure compliance.
E Refer to the ColorFuse Powercore
Installation Instructions for specific warning
and caution statements.
Prepare for the Installation
Determine the appropriate location of each Data Enabler Pro in relation to the fixtures,
and of the fixtures in relation to each other. The Data Enabler Pro and first fixture must
be separated by no more than the 10 ft (3.1 m) length of the Leader Cable.
ColorFuse Powercore fixtures are installed in series. The in-line connectors allow
end-to-end fixture connections for the best visual effects. Joined directly together,
the connectors on the 1 ft (305 mm) fixtures allow for spacing of .4 in (10 mm) to .9
in (23 mm) without a jumper cable, while the connectors on the 4 ft (1.2 m) fixtures
allow for spacing of .9 in (23mm) to 2 in (51 mm) without a jumper cable. When you
need to separate fixtures by more than these minimums, use the 1 ft (305 mm) or 5
ft (1.5 m) jumper cables.
The maximum number of fixtures each Data Enabler Pro can support depends on specific
configuration details such as fixture length, fixture spacing, circuit size, line voltage, and
Leader Cable length. For help calculating the number of fixtures your specific installation
can support, download the Configuration Calculator from www.philipscolorkinetics.
com/support/install_tool/, or consult Application Engineering Services at support@
colorkinetics.com.
E Refer to the Data Enabler Pro
Installation Instructions or Product Guide for
guidelines on configuring and positioning the
Data Enabler Pro in relation to the controller.

In addition to maximum fixture run lengths determined by the electrical configuration,
each Data Enabler Pro imposes maximum run lengths based on data integrity. To ensure
data integrity, maximum individual run lengths should not exceed 175 ft (53.3 m), and
the total cable length per Data Enabler Pro should not exceed 400 ft (122Data
m).

Installation
ColorBlast Powercore offers rich, saturated wall-washing color and color-changing
effects with Powercore technology. Powercore, which integrates LED power and
data management within the fixture, eases installation by eliminating the need for
external power supplies.
Owner / User Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the contractor, installer, purchaser, owner, and user to
install, maintain, and operate ColorBlast Powercore fixtures in such a manner as to
comply with all applicable codes, state and local laws, ordinances, and regulations.
Consult with the appropriate electrical inspector to ensure compliance.
E Refer to the ColorBlast Powercore
Installation Instructions for specific warning
and caution statements.
Installing in Damp or Wet Locations
When installing in damp or wet locations, it is good practice to seal all fixtures and
junction boxes with electronics-grade RTV silicone sealant to ensure that moisture
cannot enter or accumulate in wiring compartments, cables, or other electrical parts.
You must use suitable outdoor-rated junction boxes when installing in damp or wet
locations. Additionally, you must use gaskets, clamps, and other parts required for
installation to comply with all applicable local and national codes
Create a Lighting Design Plan
and Layout Grid
1. Determine the appropriate location of each Data Enabler Pro in relation to the
light fixtures, and of the light fixtures in relation to each other.
E To streamline the configuration of
complex installations, record the serial
number (DMX) or IP address (Ethernet)
and location of each Data Enabler Pro.
ColorBlast Powercore fixtures can be installed in series or in parallel (wired to
a common junction box). The maximum number of fixtures each Data Enabler
Pro can support depends on specific configuration details such as fixture spacing,
circuit size, line voltage, and method of connection (in series or in parallel). For
more information, and for help calculating the number of fixtures your specific
installation can support, download the Configuration Calculator from www.
colorkinetics.com/support/install_tool/, or consult Application Engineering
Services at support@colorkinetics.com.
In addition to maximum fixture run lengths determined by the electrical
configuration, each Data Enabler Pro imposes maximum run lengths based on
data integrity. To ensure data integrity, maximum individual run length should not
exceed 175 feet (53.3 m), and the total cable length per Data Enabler Pro should
not exceed 400 feet (122 m).

Make a cable using the 3 pins : TX, RX and G (GND)
Set the RS232 parameters to : 9600bds 8 bits, no Parity, 2 Stop bits
- To play a scene, send 3 bytes : 1 x 255
(x = scene number)
- To stop a scene, send 3 bytes : 2 x 255
(x = scene number)
- To pause a scene, send 3 bytes :
3 x 255
(x = scene number)
- To release a pause, send 3 bytes :
4 x 255
(x = scene number)
- To reset a scene, send 3 bytes : 5 x 255
(x = scene number)
Note: the scene number (x) can be from 1 to 40. For instance, 11 means Page B Scene #3
PORTS triggering
It is possible to start scenes using the input ports (contact closure). To activate a port, a brief
contact must be established between the ports (1...8) and the ground (GND). This is a contact
closure so there is no need to hold the connection, it acts like a basic switch.
