intended that all tiles be used on all projects; ceiling tiles are to be selected
for each project as appropriate and based on the narrative after each tile. In

CC grid standard only where a scrubbable ceiling surface is required. Examples of such
rooms include: clean & sterile supply, decontamination, procedure room and labs.

2x2 CC tegular standard for public areas of leased spaces: waiting areas, lobbies and
conference rooms. Examples of locations are possibly intensive lab spaces and
negative/positive pressure rooms. Refer to regulatory and engineering requirements as
appropriate.
ACT Notes:
1. When “matching existing” ceiling tile, specifications are to be coordinated and approved directly
with Cleveland Clinic Planning and Design.
2. Square edge ceiling tiles are required wherever curtain tracks and/or IV tracks are planned.
3. Designers may upgrade to a “greener” product if required for LEED and will fit with the budget if
approved by CC Planning and Design. The use of “green” option is to be coordinated and
approved directly with Cleveland Clinic Planning and Design.
4. Refer to the Ohio Building Code for interior finish fire ratings and maximum flame spread
requirements.
5. All wall and ceiling finish product data with class/rating information must be submitted to the
Cleveland Clinic Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Department to review.
