Vibration Switches - Class 531
Use:
• The Nelson Vibration Switch is a safety
device designed for protecting rotating
machinery, such as motors, generators,
engines, pumps and fan, from abnormal
levels of vibration. If the vibration level of such
a device becomes excessive, the switch will
trip, shutting down the device being protected.
• The switch operates on the principle of
magnetic air gap, an increased air gap for
low vibration and decreased air gap for high
vibration levels.
• The sensitivity (air gap) can be adjusted by
means of an adjustment knob and lock nut on
the outside of the enclosure. Rotation of the
knob changes the sensitivity of the switch. A
satisfactory adjustment can be achieved by
trial and error, locating the switch where it is
subjected to maximum vibration.
Features:
• Two SPDT micro switches.
• External sensitivity adjustment.
• Manual reset button.
• Standard "O-Ring provides watertight seal
for NEMA 4 application.
Material/Finishes:
• Copper-free cast aluminum enclosure.
• Grey epoxy power coat.
