IDenticard ® End of Product Life Cycle
Overview
As new technologies come to market, older technologies are phased out. Electronic hardware products
have a mechanical end of life as components burn out or change tolerances over time. Software
products continually evolve with changes to operating systems and availability of new development
tools. As IDenticard incorporates these new technologies into our products, we must phase out support
for products that use the older technologies. This document details IDenticard’s support plan for older
versions of hardware and software.
Software Notice
IDenticard supports various software packages. Specific information regarding each platform can be
found below.
IVIS®: Effective March 6, 2015, IVIS will reach its End of Support (EoS). At that time, IVIS will no longer
be supported by our technical team. Last sold in July 2007, technical support has continued to be
available on all versions of IVIS software and will continue to the EoS date. Any support contracts in
place can be carried over to our PremiSysID software. In preparation for this date, we recommend
contacting IDenticard Technical Support at 800-220-8096 or your local IDenticard representative for a
consultation.
expressionsID™: In June 2011, expressionsID was repackaged and marketed as PremiSysID v2.8.
Support for expressionsID will fall in line with the policy for PremiSysID. Please see policy below.
PremiSys™ (includes PremiSysID™): IDenticard currently supports PremiSys v2.11.x or greater. To align
our PremiSys and PremiSysID product life cycles, starting November 1, 2014 PremiSysID support policy
will merge with the policy related to PremiSys and offer technical support for only PremiSys and
PremiSysID version 2.12 or greater (referred to as PremiSys thereafter). Requests for technical support
about unsupported software versions will be handled after upgrading to the required software version.
At the same time we will implement the following new software support policy: IDenticard will support
software versions for two years from the last date of sale. Support will include defect resolution,
maintenance patches and general how-to questions. Some defect resolution may require an upgrade to
the latest version of software.
Hardware Notice
9000 Panels: The last new 9000 panel was sold in October 2011, almost 20 years after it was originally
designed. The 9000 panel went through several changes during its lifetime as technologies changed or
components became unavailable. We currently attempt to repair any rev 9000 panel that is sent in.

boards, starting January 1, 2014 we will no longer repair any 9000 panels rev K or older. We will
continue to service all other panels.
Reader Expansion Cards: Starting January 1, 2014 we will no longer repair any reader expansion cards
that mounted on the large 9000 panels in the black enclosure. We will continue to service all other
reader expansion cards.
Series 9000 Remote Input / Output: Starting January 1, 2014 we will no longer repair any RI/O Rev C or
older (Rev D started shipping in 1999). We will continue to service all other RI/O boards.
