Quality
EDETA BS + BD fulfill the requirements of the relevant USP‘s. Testing is carried
out on random batches.
Analysis
Within the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP), there exist monographs for EDTA
(Edetic Acid) and for the disodium EDTA (Edetate disodium). EDETA BS and
EDETA BD were tested against the respective USP monographs and found to
conform in terms of quality. This testing is routinely carried out on random samples.

Properties
The manufacturing process for Edeta BX Powder guarantees high purity and a
very low level of byproducts. Main features are the low formaldehyde content of
about 10 ppm and the NTA content of about 0.1%
Application
The Edeta B grades are aminocarboxylic acids with six functional groups whose
characteristic reactions enable them to form complexes. They sequester undesirable
metal ions in cosmetic preparations, preventing precipitation of the salts responsible
for water hardness and protecting against rancidity and color changes caused by
heavy metal ions.
Stability/Storage
The Edeta B grades can be stored for at least two years in the unopened original
containers under appropriate storage conditions. Edeta B powder is hygroscopic
and should be kept in tightly sealed containers.
