1. Housing - Extruded aluminum trim with one
piece 20 ga white cold rolled steel housing. Finish
is powder coated high-reflectance white. Specially
designed joiner system allows uniform appearance
with no light leaks. Feed from top or end. Aluminum
endcaps painted to match housing color.
2. Mounting Flanged: Sheetrock installation only. Mounting
brackets with flyouts and 1/4-20 Phillips pan head
machine screws (supplied for field assembly)
provided approximately every 4 feet and is
attached to housing. Remove geartray, install
housing, re-install geartray. Wall: Housing
is secured to blocking (by others) behind the
Sheetrock wall with screws (by others). Remove
geartray, install housing, re-install geartray.
Wall Recessed fixture fits into a 2x4 wall.
Before Sheetrock: Mounting brackets (by
Zumtobel) with 1/4-20 threaded rod (by others)
provided approximately every 4 feet. Fixture
does not need to be disassembled for installation.
After Sheetrock Ceiling / Wall: Flange secured to
blocking behind Sheetrock ceiling / wall with flat
head screws (by others) using screw holes provided
every 3 inches. Mud up to flange for clean, flush
appearance. Wall Recessed fixture fits into a 2x4 wall.

Perimeter Mount: For before sheetrock ceiling or
T-bar ceiling installations only. Mount perimeter
fixture mounting rail (by Zumtobel) to wall making
sure it is level. Hang fixture by yokes (by Zumtobel).
Fixture supported by yokes, not ceiling.
T-bar Mounting: Mounting brackets (by Zumtobel)
with 1/4-20 threaded rod (by others) provided
approximately every 4 feet. Fixture does not need
to be disassembled for installation. Bend out tabs
rest on ceiling Ts alongside fixture for stability. Long
runs supported by mounting brackets, not T-bars.
Support bracket stiffener supplied by Zumtobel.
3. Lamping - One or two T5, T5 HO or one T8 lamp
in cross-section. Staggered lamps for maximum
lens uniformity. Two lamp fixtures have straight
and staggered lamps while one lamp fixtures have
diagonal and staggered lamps. Adjustable geartray
with 4" to 12" overlap range is available. Field fit
lamp shield is supplied for maximum uniformity
when lamp overlaps are more than 4".
4. Optic - Choose from smooth and uniform
Opal Lens, efficient and visually comfortable
Micro-Pyramidal Lens or Regressed snap in lens
with smooth, straight sides. For Wall recessed
applications, extra diffuse lens option available for
softer illumination.
5. Voltage/Ballast - Electronic, universal voltage
(120/277V) or 347V. Prewired for thru wiring.
Ballasts are mounted in geartray offering entry
from below.
6. Dimming - In control fixtures with Lutron
EcoSystem dimming, control wires are brought to
an interface. Consult factory for location of control
wire feed. HiLume 3D ballast wired to dim hot (not
E1 & E2.)

7. Standby Battery Pack - Integral standby battery
pack with integral test switch.
8. Sensors - Occupancy sensor is Lutron LOS-C
Series. Daylight sensor is Lutron Radio Powr Savr
Wireless. Both are compatible with Lutron ballasts.
For daylight and motion sensor options together,
Wattstopper FS-205 can be used with the FD-301
system. A Wattstopper programmer LRS 301 is
needed to program FS-205. Order: SCONWSP
One programmer per job can be ordered.
