iD5212 Preliminary 100mA 5-Channel Charge Pump White LED Driver General Description Features The iD5212 is a 5-channel white LED driver having Ultra-Low-Noise application high performances. It integrates current sources and 85% Average Efficiency Over Battery Life an automatic mode selection charge pump. The part 80mV Typical Current Source Dropout achieves high efficiency by utilizing an x1/x1.5 Support Up to 5 White LEDs; 100mA Output fractional charge pump and low dropout current Current sources. The small equivalent x1 mode open loop 1% Typical LED Current Accuracy resistance and ultra-low dropout voltage of current 0.7% Typical LED Current Matching source extend the operating time of x1 mode and Soft Start Function optimize the efficiency of Li-ion battery in white LED Auto Charge Pump Mode Selection applications. 250kHz Fixed Frequency Oscillator The iD5212 supports up to 5 white LEDs and Output Over Voltage Protection regulates a constant current for uniform intensity. The Low 0.4µA Shutdown Current part implements a 4-bit DAC for brightness control. 16-Step Brightness Control Users can easily configure the LED current from 1.25mA to 20mA by a serial pulse. The dimming of Applications white LED current can be achieved by applying a pulse signal to the EN pin. There are totally 16 steps Mobile Phone of current could be set by users. The operating DSC voltage range is 2.8V to 5.0V. Internal soft start MP3/MP4 circuitry effectively reduces the in-rush current for both White LED Backlighting start-up and mode transition.
