in order to successfully complete a full course load during their exchange

LINNAEUS UNIVERSITY - VAXJO: The only language requirement
for Bachelor courses is a statement from the English professor of the
“sending university” (quindi certificate di aver sostenuto l’idoneità di
lingua e richiedete un attestato al docente di riferimento).
Specific admission requirement are requested for the ammission to
master’s courses: all master's programmes and second cycle courses
demand a higher level of proficiency in English, namely English course B
from the Swedish upper secondary school or its equivalent. The following
levels are equal to English B:

least 575 points including a minimum score of 4.5 in the written test
(paper-based test) or 90 points indluding a minimum score of 20 in

SODERTORNS UNIVERSITY - HUDDINGE (STOCKHOLM): All
courses available for exchange students are given completely in English.

OSLO BI NORWEGIAN SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT: No
mandatory requirements. Nevertheless all the courses are in English and
students will be asked to produce many term papers which require to
communicate well in English.
UNIVERSITY OF MAASTRICHT: No compulsory requirements, a self
test of English is available on the web site of the University, nevertheless
B2 English level is strongly recommended.
N.B. Students with unsatisfactory English level will be sent to the
Language Centre to get tested. If they do not pass the test this student
will immediately be taken out of the courses he/she is doing at that
time, and will be told to take an extra English language course at
his/her own expense. Before the next block starts the student will
again be tested by the Language Centre. If the level of English has not
improved the student will not be allowed to take part in any further
courses. It is then up to the student to go home or to remain in
Maastricht.

to mention that your English proficiency skills are equivalent to the
scores mentioned above.
Our institutional code to be filled in in case the applicant takes the TOEFL
test is: 9077. Tests taken more than two years ago are no longer valid. We
accept test scores sent by email. Please make sure to send us your English
test score before 1 June (1 semester) or 1 November (2nd semester).

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN DENMARK - ODENSE: A good
standard of English is required to become an exchange student at the
University of Southern Denmark because teaching typically involves
student participation, class discussion, project work and student
presentations. It means that you must have a command of the English
language equivalent of the IELTS score of 6.5 or the TOEFL score of

UNIVERSITA’ DELLA SVIZZERA ITALIANA - LUGANO: English
is the official language of instruction in many of the
Master’s programmes. For non-native English speakers it is highly

other Faculties and Departments of USI is Italian. Generally speaking,

French language partners:
UNIVERSITE’ DE LAUSANNE ( SVIZZERA ): HEC Lausanne do not
require any language test for the exchange students.
UNIVERSITE’ DE FRIBURG ( SVIZZERA): No mandatory
requirements. Nevertheless the official teaching languages of the
University are French and German. Lectures taught in English exist
mainly at Master’s level; they hardly exist at the Bachelor’s level. The
Department of Sciences requires English in addition to French and
German. Students must have sufficient oral and written proficiency in
French or German in order to be able to attend and understand the lectures,
as well as to take exams without too many difficulties. They submit the
European Language passport with their application form. Therefore the
University recommends attending the Intensive Pre-Semester Course in
French. This course is highly recommended for students who attend
lectures in French. The goal is to refresh French knowledge and to be
exposed to an introduction to the Swiss way of life, the city of Fribourg
and some Swiss customs. This course, which caters to different levels, but
not beginners, has proven to be a very useful instrument in taking the first
steps towards integration in Fribourg and its University.
