SPECIFICATIONS OF MULTIFUNCTION DIGITAL CALIBRATOR
a) The calibrator shall be portable and hand held one.
b) Calibrator shall be powered with batteries
OR
Calibrator shall have external connection for battery eliminator/charger to
charge the internal batteries. The batteries shall be placed inside the
Digital calibrator and need not be taken out for charging with external
charger.Supply of eliminator / charger is in the scope of supplier. The
eliminator shall be powered by 230V, 50Hz with suitable converter for use
with Indian type of socket.
c) Required test probes, female/male connectors, temperature probes and
accessories shall be supplied along with the main equipment.
d) Bidder shall supply technical manual for maintenance and operation
purpose.
e) The bidder shall indicate in their offer facilitates for repairing in case of any
technical fault.
f) The calibrator shall have suitable software for communicating with PC.
g) The calibrator shall have measurement function as per following
specifications.
i) DC Voltage
a) DC Milli Voltage :
Range :Two i.e.0 to 100mV & 100 to 600 mV
Accuracy :0.02% Rdg. + 0 .01% Range & 0.025% Rdg. +0 .005%
Range respt.
Resolution : 0.001mV & 0.01mV respt.
b) DC Voltage :
Range : Two i.e. 0 - 6V and 6 - 60 VDC

Simultaneous measurement of current 4-20 mA with internal 24V DC supply,
required to calibrate various 2-wireTransmitter from same two terminal
iii) Frequency Measurement :
Range : 1 Hz to 20 KHz
Accuracy : 1 Hz or higher
Resolution : 1 Hz or higher
Provision should be present for totalizing and to count the no. of pulses per
minute/ per hour with programmable trigger level between 10mV and 5V.
iv) Resistance Measurement:
Range : Two i.e., 0- 400 Ohms and 400 - 2000ohms
Accuracy : 0.005% Rdg + 0.02% Range and
0.02% Rdg+ 0.015% Range respt.

Calibrator shall accept all types of RTD inputs and Thermocouples

h) The calibrator shall have source and simulation function as per following
specifications.

Range : -10 to 100mv and 0 to 12V
Accuracy : 0.01% Rdg + 0.005% Range for both
Resolution : 0.001 mV and 0.0001V
ii) DC Current output:
Range : 0 - 24 mA with max. load of 900ohms
Accuracy : 0.01%Rdg + 0.02 Range
Resolution : 0.001mA
iii) Resistance source:
Range : Two i.e., 0- 400 Ohms and 0 - 2000ohms
Accuracy : 0.005% Rdg. and 0.02% Rdg. respt.

6. Signal converter; any measure into any source, fully isolated.
7. Sealing : IP65
j) Readout : Dual readout i.e. Measure and Source.
k) Display :
Graphical LCD with contrast control and backlight timer.
l) Protection :
a) Surge protection: against 4 KV peak
b) Fuse protection should be provided.
m) Casing :
The equipment should have suitable carrying case.
n) Accessories :
To specify all accessories/spares ( like test leads etc.) associated with the
instrument including software and hardware for interfacing with PC.
o) ISO 9001 certification: To be submitted along with the bid.
p) Calibration and test certificate from recognized authority to be provided
along with the instrument.
q) Guarantee certificate: Bidder shall provide a minimum guarantee period of
twelve months from the date of commissioning or eighteen months from the
date of dispatch.
r) The calibrator should have HART mode insert 250 ohm resistor in mA
measure and source for compatibility with HART instruments

Standard Notes: 1. Operation & maintenance manual shall be provided by the selected bidder. Detailed
programming, calibration and trouble shooting procedures shall be provided in the manual
2. Supplier should stand guarantee for giving maintenance support for supply of spares for at
least five years.
3. In case of more than one model of digital calibrator it shall be mentioned as optional of the
main item.
4. Price break-up of every item/accessories, mentioned in the quotation shall be provided.
5. Vendor shall attach a list, summing up all the deviations, if any, from indenter's data sheet.
The vendor shall provide compliance statement for every point serially as mentioned in the
specification. Reason for any deviation shall also be provided by the vendor wherever possible.
6. Vendor shall enclose catalogues /detail specification sheet, encompassing all the above
points for the calibrator covered in the bid. Documentary proof regarding the above shall be
submitted along with the bid.
7. Vendor shall be manufacturer / authorized supplier for the calibrator mentioned in the bid.
8. Vendor shall make his offer in detail, with respect to every item of the indenter's specifications.
Any offer not conforming to this shall be summarily rejected at any stage.
9.Vendor shall be manufacturer / authorized supplier for the items mentioned in the bid.
Special Notes : 1. To evaluate the inter-se ranking of the offers, Assam Entry Tax on purchase value
will be loaded as per prevailing government of Assam Guidelines as applicable on bid
closing date. Bidders may check this With the appropriate authority, while submitting their
bids.
2. Bidder should quote transportation charges on actual separately if not included in basic price.
Transportation charges have to be quoted for transportation by mode as below:i) For consignments weighing around 50 Kgs, Actual transportation charge to be quoted for
transportation by courier service (Air/Road).
ii) For consignment weighing more than the weight mentioned in Sl.No.(i), actual transportation
cost shall be quoted for transportation by Road transport.
3. Any sum of money due and payable to the contractor (including Security Deposit
refundable to them) under this or any other contract may be appropriated by Oil India
Limited and set off against any claim of Oil India Limited (or such other person or person
contracting through Oil India Limited) for payment of a sum of money arising out of this
contract or under any other contract made by the contractor with Oil India Limited (or
such other person or persons contracting though Oil India Limited).
4. Any statutory variation (increase / decrease )in the rate of excise duty / sales tax/Customs
Duty or any statutory levy after the closing date of tenders / revised priced bid, as the case may
be, but within the contractual delivery /completion period will be to the account of OIL subject to
documentary evidence. However, any increase in excise duty /sales tax / Customs Duty or any
statutory levy after the expiry of the scheduled date of delivery shall be to the supplier's account.
