Richardson RFPD Introduces 25–3000 MHz Fractional-N PLL with Integrated VCO from ADI
Features industry-leading phase noise and spurious performance, across frequency range
February 23, 2015 – Geneva, Ill.: Richardson RFPD, Inc. announced today the availability and
full design support capabilities for a fractional-N phase locked loop from Analog Devices, Inc.
The 3.3V, high performance, wideband HMC832LP6GE features an integrated voltage-controlled
oscillator with a fundamental frequency of 1500 MHz to 3000 MHz, and an integrated VCO output
divider that enables the device to generate continuous frequencies from 25 MHz to 3000 MHz.
The integrated phase detector (PD) and delta-sigma (Δ-Σ) modulator, capable of operating at up
to 100 MHz, permit wider loop bandwidths and faster frequency tuning with excellent spectral
performance. The device is part of ADI’s complete, integrated portfolio of products that now
includes Hittite's RF, microwave and millimeter wave signal chain components.
The HMC832LP6GE is ideally suited for cellular infrastructure, microwave radio, Wi-Fi,
communications test equipment, CATV equipment, DDS replacement, and military applications. It
is included in ADI’s Select Products for Q1, 2015.
