Menu’s philosophy is simple. We want to make the world better, less complicated and a little bit nicer to wake up to. It’s a philosophy that we’ve been
honing over the last five years, building our brand by constantly asking
ourselves, “What matters most?”.
Like my grandfather and father before me, I believe that design matters
most when a product is useful, timeless and made from honest materials.
At Menu, we’re obsessed with creating clever solutions for modern living
and are proud to make beautiful objects for everyday use, be it a single
dinner plate or a new dining table.
Our Autumn/Winter 2016 paper highlights just some of the talented designers that we work with. Together, we find new functions, new materials
and new production methods that honor Menu’s Scandinavian simplicity
and timeless aesthetics.

Tribeca Series
The Tribeca series of lamps started with a journey. Søren Rose travelled
across America on a mission to collect beautiful lamps dating back to
the early-mid 20th century. The Danish designer, who lives and works in
New York, took his finds back to his studio, dismantled them, separated
their parts and reassembled them, mixing and matching lamps as he went
along. Out of this experimentation Tribeca was born – a fresh perspective
on iconic modern design.

unied our Scandinavian “soft-minimalism” aesthetics with the skills of local
Nepali craftspeople, helping to build local community through the production of unique design objects. The outcome is a range of beautiful objects
