The Bapu Gujarat Knowledge Village established in 2009 to promote professional education in Gujarat and particularly
in and around Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar region.
The trust and educational institutes for Engineering and Pharmacy are promoted and managed under the guidance of
managing trustee Shri Shankersinh Vaghela, leader of Opposition, Gujarat Assembly and M. L.A. (Kapadwanj), former
Chief Minister of Govt. of Gujarat, former union minister of Textile, Govt of India, a hugely popular leader who is
known for his pioneering efforts aimed at societal development.
The Bapu Gujarat Knowledge Village is situated in the lap of nature and extended in 40 acres land at vasan, Gandhinagr
with its all stone architecture, lush verdant woods and landscaped gardens provides an idyllic environment to engage in

Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Institute of Pharmacy (SVBIP) was established in 2009 as self financed college approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and AICTE, New Delhi for B. Pharm course with 60 intake and M.
Pharm course with 18 intake in Pharmaceutics and Quality Assurance.
The college building has 14 Laboratories including sophisticated instrument room and industrial laboratory,
Four Classrooms, Tutorial Rooms, Auditorium, Seminar Hall, Library, Animal House, General Store & Administrative area, designed to the suit as per the requirements of AICTE and PCI for pharmacy education.
Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi has approved the college for B. Pharm from 2009-10 to
2014-15 academic session for 60 admission u/s 12 of pharmacy act,1948

SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS
 Gamita Divya, Rana Bhruguraj and Singh Sajan have been selected for AIU national selection for basket ball team.
 The boys and girls team of BGKV (SVBIT) has won the inter zone (Gandhinagar) basketball tournament.
 Patel Dhruv, Solanki Path, Parmar Virendrasinh, Kankaria Jay and Bhatt Japan were Runners up in Gandhinagar Zone Chess Tournament. The above students are also selected for the Inter Zonal.
 Heer Erda (SVBIT) has secured 2nd rank in the inter zone (Gandhinagar) for 50 meters free style swimming competition.
 Venus Verghese, Rahul K.R., Mohit Rawtani, Amitkumar K, Jeet Bahadur (SVBIT) were Runners up in Gandhinagar Zone Badminton Tournament. They are also selected for the Inter Zonal.
 Malay Patel (5th Semester, Civil Engineering) is selected in Lawn Tennis Tournament at STATE LEVEL.

Dr. V. M. Patel and his team has started consultancy cell with providing planning and design services to PNB, Vasan branch
building at BGKV Campus.
Mr. Yashpalsinh Jadeja was awarded a certificate as Cyber Security Expert for completing a 6 month course at Gujarat Forensic
Science University, Gandhinagar.
Mr. Hardik Patel guided 5 students of 3rd Semester Computer Engineering who took part in National Level Short Film Festival
held at Ahemdabad.

 One day National seminar on “Role of Image Processing & its Applications in ICT” was organized by The Department
of Computer, Information Technology and Electronics and Communications Engineering on 31/08/2013
 An “Introductory Seminar on Computer Technology” was organized by the CE & IT Department on 1/8/2013 for the
students. Mr. Jitendra Joshi, who is a member of an NGO imparted the knowledge to students.
 A seminar on “Skills that IT Industry wants from fresher” on 06th August 2013(Tuesday) at BGKV campus, Unava. The
seminar was delivered by Mr. Satyanarayana Moharana from the TalentEdge.

 Seminar on GATE Exam 2014 by GATE Academic for 5th sem EE students conducted in EE department SVBIT.
 One day seminar arranged in EE department on Automation Engineering in Electrical field on 16th July ’13 by National
Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
 A seminar on “Industrial Automation – Global Vision” on 10th August 2013 on 10th Aug. ’13 at Town Hall, Gandhinagar. This seminar was delivered by Nisus Group.
 Mr. Nilesh Patel (had delivered lecture on Alternator for Power Generation on 21st September to 3rd sem EE students. He is a lecturer at School of Technology, PDPU, Gandhinagar.
 Mr. S.B. Mahajani, Deputy Manager of Amtech Electronics (India) Ltd., Gandhinagar has delivered lecture on Power
Harmonics: causes, effect and mitigation on 4th Sep. ’13 to 7th sem EE students.
 Mr. A. J. Parmar, Deputy Engineer, TPS, Gandhinagar has delivered lecture on Practical Aspects in Power System on
3rd Sep. ’13 to 7th sem EE students.
 Mr. Chirag Chauhan (Suvik Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Gandhinagar)has delivered lecture on Power Electronics & its Applications on 10th Sep. ’13 to 5th sem EE students.
 Dr. G.J. Jamnani, H.O.D., GPERI, Mehsana has delivered lecture on Designing of DC Machine on 21st Sep. ’13 for 7th

EXPERT LECTURES DELIVERED:

Dr. V M Patel has delivered talk to first year students of SVBIT on “Life With an Engineering Perspective”.
Expert lecture Delivered by Mr. Abhijitsinh Parmar on PSAR (Patent Search Analysis Report) for the students of
Final Year on 11th September, 2013.
NSS Activity





NSS Team Organized “Blood-Donation Camp” on 1st August, 2013 and collect 124 bottles.
NSS Team Organized “Teachers Day” on 5th September in all semester.
NSS students of Mechanical Engineering Department have conducted our NSS visit at a small upcoming
firm at ODHAV GIDC as a part of our NSS activity.
On 22nd August 2013, the NSS committee members of SVBIT College went for their first computer
awareness campaign to BEHRAMPURA Public School. The program started around 1 o’clock in the afternoon, the audience comprised of students from 3rd, 4th, and 5th standard and their respective teachers.
NSS students of Mechanical Engineering Department have conducted our NSS visit at a small upcoming
firm at ARYA, BARODA as a part of our NSS activity

WORKSHOPS ORGANIZED:




Computer Awareness Programme for the rural students of Vasan village was organized by Mr. Nitin Padariya of IT
Department on 17th August 2013. The programme was conducted by 5th semester IT students.
A workshop, dated 21st September 2013 on Java Spoken Tutorial conducted by IIT Bombay for 5th Semester CE and
IT students and around 60 students participated in the workshop.
A 4 day workshop on PHP was organized for the students of CE and IT. 109 students participated in the workshop.
Mr. Jitendra Joshi, working for an NGO imparting knowledge on Computer Technology conducted the workshop.
Workshop on Plan and layout of Punjab National Bank Building on 10th July, 2013 at our Bapu Gujarat Knowledge
Village Campus for the students of 3rd & 5th Semester of Civil Engineering.
INDUSTRIAL VISITS
 CE & IT Department organized Industrial Visit to C-DAC Super Computer on 30th August 2013(Friday) at Pune University, Maharashtra. A group of 32 students along with 4 faculty members (Mr. Nitin Pandya, Mr. Gautam Patel, Mr.
Sanjay Patel and Ms. Mitali Sonar) went on Industrial visit to C-DAC.
 Educational Visit at Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Kudasan (Water Treatment & Filtering Plant) for the
Students of 5th Semester on 26th July, 2013 Organized by Department of Civil Engineering.

 Electrical Engineering Department organized Industrial Visit to “Electrical Research and Development Association
(ERDA)” for 7th semester students on 13th Sep 2013 at Vadodara. A group of 33 students along with 3 department
personnel (Mr. Anil Sharma, Mrs. Nisha Patel, Mr. Laxman Ganvit) went to Industrial visit.
 Electrical Engineering Department organized Industrial Visit to “ALFA Electricals” for 5th semester students on 16th
August 2013 at Ahmedabad. A group of 60 students along with 3 department personnel (Ms. Chetana Gaound, Mr.
Nitin Adhav, Mr. Laxman Ganvit) went on Industrial visit.
 Electrical Engineering Department organized Industrial Visit at “Kokila Transformers” for 3rd semester students on
17th August 2013 at Vijapur. A group of 130 students along with 6 department personnel went on Industrial visit.
