Verify on AC LOAD WIRING that the NEUTRAL conductor IS NOT BONDED OR CONNECTED to the GROUND WIRING. 2. Each inverter’s AC output MUST be wired by its own AC OUT line and neutral wires. DO NOT CONNECT the AC OUT neutral wire to ANY neutral wires in the building. If more than one inverters are installed, DO NOT CONNECT both neutrals of AC OUT together. 3. DO NOT CONNECT the AC OUT line and neutral to the City AC line and neutral. 4. OBSERVE BATTERY POLARITY. RED is “+” POSITIVE and BLACK is “-” NEGATIVE. 5. The BATTERY CHARGING CURRENT has been factory set. DO NOT adjust it. 6. Disconnect ALL electrical sources including the inverter’s AC and DC inputs before servicing. 7. Note: Airflow is vital to the performance of this product. Install with at least 12" (30cm) clear space on both ends and do not block ventilation holes. Hardwired Installation: 1. Extend un-switched 24 hour AC supply of rated voltage to the unit installed in accordance with all applicable codes and standards. Leave at least 8 inches of slack wire. This circuit should NOT be energized/live at this time. 2. Open the unit by unscrewing the cover screws on the sides of the unit. The front cover can then be lifted up and removed (2). 3. Unit is supplied with knockouts stamped into the back and side of the cabinet. Knock out the appropriate hole(s) and bring wires through the hole(s) into the cabinet. 4. Mount the unit securely into place. There are four keyhole mounting slots provided in the back of the unit for wall mounting. Use optional Mounting Shelf (MS) or make an additional enclosure bottom support to the wall studs is recommended for 650W, 850W, or 1000W unit. 5. Make proper wiring connections between the AC supply and terminal blocks within the unit (6)(figure 1). 6. Make proper load connection to the terminal block (6) (figure 1). 7. Batteries are shipped separately. Install batteries into the cabinet and complete the appropriate battery connection. 8. Uncoil the wire lead(s), connect the red wire to positive battery terminal (+) and connect the black wire to negative battery terminal (-). 9. Route wires and secure in place. 10. Select Load Operation Mode from the internal toggle switch (13): “Normally ON” means unit will always transfer AC supply to the AC load output, and provides AC back-up when supply power fails. “Normally OFF” will provide AC power inverted from DC battery to the load output only in emergency mode. 11. Replace cover and secure cover screws (2). 12. Turn on AC line voltage supply.
