PURPOSE
This service change is
designed to eliminate oil
leakage between the LPCAO
discharge port
and the lower engine cowl
LPCAO outlet duct. The
current LPCAO seal does not
consistently align properly
and is prone to deformation.
As a result, an air/oil mixture
leakage
can occur inside the engine
cowl then subsequently drain
outside the cowl. This service
change replaces the existing
two (2) piece LPCAO seal
with a single (1) piece seal.
This service change installs
hardware and software
modifications necessary to
provide an operating platform
for Automatic Dependence
Surveillance-Broadcast (ADSB) Out functionality;
incorporates multiple Flight
Management System (FMS)
fixes addressing software
anomalies; and replaces
components due to
obsolescence issues and to
create a common baseline for
future modifications.
