MSA AUER High Pressure Breathing Air Compressors MSA is introducing a comprehensive range of high pressure breathing air compressors for both the firefighting and diving market. There are a great variety of models horizontal, vertical, portable and mobile with a charging capacity from 160 up till 450 liter per minute. All compressors together with their air purification system meet the most stringent breathing air standards (EN 12021). The different models are available with electric motor drive as well as petrol or diesel driven engines. No compromise has been made to ruggedness and durability, making the compressors suitable for the toughest duties. The specially designed low operation speed allows continuous and reliable operation. The uniquely designed high pressure cylinder valves of the HP-compressor have a 6000 hr operation guarantee. All moving components of the breathing air compressor blocks are electronically balanced to run smoothly. The vertical models 260 and 450 have highly efficient noise suppressing cabinets and are among the most silent compressors on the market. The last stage has a real genuine piston which is lubricated by a low pressure (1,5 bar) oil pump. The attractive Low Noise compressors require little floor space and are very user friendly; all controls are at the most convenient operating height. The newly introduced ECC electronic operating and monitoring system makes operating even more convenient. Air purifying takes place via the high capacity molecular sieve/activated coal filter with an average service life of 900 – 1100 m3. Convenient cylinder filling systems are either separately mounted as a wall panel or integrated in the compressor. Safety valves at each stage, a genuine high pressure piston with piston rings, steel fittings and stainless steel piping, large volume micro intake filter, oversized axial fan with large inter- and after-coolers. Oil- and water-separators after each stage, low-noise automatic condensate drain, end pressure safety valve and idle running start device. Air Quality Supervision Control (Option) The constant independent electronic digital air quality control system is equipped with a permanent sensor separately mounted in the high pressure outlet. The actual humidity content of the compressed air is constantly displayed. The H-P outlet is equipped with a one-way valve to prevent humidity from entering into the Air Quality Monitor during nonoperation of the compressor. Three different LED alarm indicators in control panel: green: compressed air quality according to the quality standards yellow: first alarm, recommendation to replace the filter cartridge red: filter cartridge is saturated, compressor stops automatically* The digital display is continuously showing the air humidity in the compressed air during operation. *if necessary the automatic stop device of the Air Quality Monitor can be by-passed for a short period. Electric components: • E-motor, 3 phase, 400 V*, IP54 (other voltages on request) • automatic star-delta switch and emergency switch off 2 • automatic drain timers and hour counter, automatic end pressure switch-off device, factory set at 330 bar. Housing and mounted accessories: The HP low-noise compressors have an extra fan on the electric motor. The cooling air flow is diverted 8 x 90° and cools every part of the compressor extensively whilst at the same time the sound of the compressor is efficiently suppressed. The housing, made of epoxy powder coated steel-plate, is service-friendly and allows easy and quick access to the compressor block. The filter holder is mounted outside the cabinet to allow quick change of the filter cartridges. The high capacity filter cartridges with activated carbon in combination with a molecular sieve assure long service life. All compressors are equipped with an hour counter, as well as with a liquid filled pressure gauge and safety valve off at each stage. A great variety options are available, e. g.: humidity control, ECC electronic computer control, oil pressure control, 3rd stage temperature control and an extensive program of filling panels and accessories.
