Scope
1) Supply, Installation, Commissioning, Demonstration and Training of “AC
Three Phase Phantom Load Static Source”.

2) The intended source shall be suitable to perform accuracy test on single phase
and three phase smart meters / prepaid meters / energy meters / wattmeters,
as a standalone unit.

3) The intended source shall be operable by easy key operation, provided on the
front panel and / or by remotely from computer. The operation of the source (in
both manual and remote mode) shall be user friendly. The source shall be
provided with continuous display of instantaneous test parameters (viz. voltage,
current, frequency, phase angle (of all three individual phases), power factor (of
all three phases).
4) It shall have a three position portable mounting rack for mounting Single
phase / Three phase meters of 5kg weight each.

Communication
Interface
Suitable communication port RS 232/USB shall be provided on the source for
interfacing to computer. If RS 232 interface is provided, suitable converter i.e.,
RS 232 to USB converter shall be provided.

Software
Suitable control software shall be provided compatible for Windows 7 and
higher version. Software shall be user friendly & all the parameters (viz. voltage,
current, frequency, phase angle / power factor, vector. Bidder may indicate
other parameters also) shall be programmable and displayable on the computer
screen. Software shall be supplied in CD media along with Operating manual.

Mains
Single Phase AC 240V ± 10%, 48-52 Hz power supply. Mains ON/OFF switch
shall be provided.

Input protection shall be provided by Fuse. Output protection against external
short circuit for voltage circuit & external open circuit for current circuit shall be
provided.

Connecting Cables
Flexible colour coded cables and / or terminals of suitable rating shall be
supplied along with the equipment.
Single phase main supply cable of length 2 meters suitable for connecting to
Indian type sockets shall be provided.
Two sets of output voltage cables (R-Y-B-N) shall be supplied. One end with
safety banana plug and other end with insulated crocodile clip.
One set of current cables (includes incoming and outgoing cables for all three
phases - of current rating 120A continuous) shall be supplied. One end with
suitable pin type lugs of suitable rating for connecting to meter terminals shall
be provided.

Calibration certificate
After supply of Phantom load source, calibration will be carried out by CPRI,
Bangalore (before installation & commissioning).The calibration results shall
adhere to the specification of Phantom load source, failing which the equipment
will be rejected. CPRI is NABL accredited laboratory.

Accessories
Bidder shall specify and quote separately, if any other required accessories are
required for proper operation of intended source.

After supply, the equipment shall be demonstrated to CPRI engineers.

Operating Manual and Service Manual with trouble shooting chart, cables,
standard accessories, recommended spares, carrying case shall be supplied
along with equipment.
Quotation without detailed specifications / drawings are liable to be rejected.
Bidder shall quote the cost of manuals, cables, accessories, spares, carrying case
etc. separately if they are not included in the basic price.
