ESMO is the premier event for electric utility and contracting professionals who are engaged in hands-on solutions
for the safe engineering, construction, operation and maintenance of the world’s power delivery systems.
In Columbus, Ohio (USA) utility professionals from more than 40 different countries will come together in September
2016 for this exciting event. This world-class program will take course over the span of four days. Two days will be
featuring outdoor field demonstrations and the other two days will include a technical program combined with an
indoor exhibit area.
The outdoor demonstration program truly makes this conference an extremely unique event. It will include work on
transmission and distribution lines, substations, and activities that are focused on construction techniques, safety
demonstrations, operations activities, right-of-way management techniques and an equipment and heavy equipment
display area.

• Raising the Phase-on Existing Transmission Structures Using Steel Trusses
• Energized Insulator Changeout with a Robotic Arm
• Installation of a Conductor Sleeve by Implosion
• X-Ray of an Energized Transmission Line by Helicopter
• Removal of a 115kV Crossarm and Replacement with Truss Arm
• Wood Pole Fall Protection on a 115kV Training Structure and Self Rescue System

ynamic Demonstration on the Breakage Behavior of Glass versus Porcelain Suspension Insulators
• Measure of Corrosion on a Transmission Wire

In concept and approach, ESMO 2016 is sure to be an exciting event!
OUTDOOR EXHIBIT AND DEMONSTRATION
The host utility for ESMO 2016, AEP, will hold outdoor demonstrations and exhibits at their Bixby Substation facility
outside of Columbus, Ohio. The two days of outdoor field demonstrations are combined with the indoor exhibits
and two-day technical program to give attendees the knowledge and expertise required to effectively build, operate
and maintain the world’s power-delivery systems.
Exhibitors who participate in the indoor exhibits on Monday and Wednesday, have the option to host an
outdoor exhibit table on Tuesday and Thursday and may also apply to be considered for participation in the
outdoor demonstrations.
Outdoor exhibit tables are on a first-come-first-serve basis and will only be available to the first 40 applicants.
The outdoor demonstration portion of the conference features work on transmission and distribution lines,
substations, and activities that are focused on construction techniques, safety demonstrations, operations activities,
right-of-way management techniques and an equipment and heavy equipment display area. The outdoor program
truly makes this conference a one-of-a kind event.

Pricing for 2016 is $3,500 per 10’x10’ booth.
