I have founded Başkent University and all other related
institutions to improve Quality. Therefore,
Başkent’s only challenge should be Başkent’s
achievements and our only rival in quality should be
our quality oriented services.

In 1994 Başkent University’s path of quality has been started
by Prof. Dr.Mehmet Haberal, the founder and President of
the Executive Supreme Board of Başkent University, with the
quality certification of education and health services of ISO
9000. Quality assurance system, the primary focus of Başkent
University, became sustainable with the establishment of
“Mithat Çoruh Quality Management Center” in 1995.
Başkent University’s Quality policy is to implement the higher education
and scientific research/development activities qualitatively, to ensure
the education and employment of individuals who have adopted the
philosophy of global quality level, who can foresee the institutional
principles and processes as a whole with the belief of sustainable
education to enhance a student-centered, effective and progressive
quality management

International Quality Summits are
held annually in five metropolises
like New York, London, Paris,
Frankfurt and Moscow.
The main determinant of this award is
encompassing leadership behavior by
the founder and/or the director of the
organization for the extensive and progressive
implementation of quality procedures by
execution of teamwork in decision-making
process.
The awarded organizations are determined by the World Quality
Commitment Award Selection Committee formed up of people most of
whom are selected from organizations which have been awarded before.
The organization considered to be eligible for the award is summoned
through an official invitation by the Bussiness Initiative Directions The
distinctive feature of this quality award is that the organizations cannot
claim as it is seen in Quality Certifications, organizations should be
nominated through the committee.
Başkent University continues the improvement of the quality on education and
health services by achieving the latest version ISO certification. It has crowned its
quality oriented education by receiving specific accreditation certificates based
on specilizations like UTEAK (Medical Education Accreditation) and MÜDEK
(Engineering Education Accreditation) and Diploma Supplement and ECTS
Labels. Başkent University has been applied for other academic specialized
accreditation certificates

27th International Quality Summit
“Golden” Quality Award
As the first foundation university with ISO Quality Certification
Başkent University adopted quality as the fundamental principle.
Our hard work to achieve to be the best quality oriented
university has been awarded by “27th International Quality
Summit” which was presented in New York on 26-27 May in the
Gold Category. Başkent University with its subsidiaries is one
of the five organizations awarded within this framework in Gold
category.

“Platinum” Quality Award
Business Initiative Directions, one of the leading quality
assessment institutions in the world, deemed Başkent University
and its subsidiaries worth of international “Platinum” Quality
Award. In the “29th International Quality Summit” held in Paris
on 25th October, Başkent University was awarded in platinum
category for it’s improvement in quality. The evaluation of the
award has been made through the 100 criteria under 12 titles
covering the achievement of the establishment, improvement and
maintenance of managerial quality and business excellence.

“Diamond” Quality and
Technology Award
Başkent University’s initiative to realize its achievement in the
establishment, improvement and maintenance of managerial quality
and business excellence in the areas of ‘technology and innovation’,
has been awarded with the “Diamond” Quality and Technology Award
in the 2016 European Convention in Frankfurt. Prof. Dr. Abdülkadir
Varoğlu, Vice-President of Başkent University, received the award on
behalf of Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal, Founder and Founder President
and President of the Executive Supreme Board of Başkent University,
and Prof. Dr. Ali Haberal, President of Başkent University.
