PCTEL uses the following model to generate configured product part numbers for customized enclosures.
This structure outlines the radio type and features of each configured enclosure. Customized fiberglass,
aluminum, in-ceiling enclosures and accessory configurations available upon request.
NEMA, short for National Electrical Manufacturers
Association, has established a rating system in the
USA for enclosures which defines different levels of
protection from weather and other environmental
considerations. The NEMA guides to the different
ratings are available on the web at antenna.com

Designed to protect sensitive radio equipment from theft and tampering. Aesthetically designed to
accommodate a safe and secure office environment. Some covers have several laser knockouts that
allow the installer to mount different types of antennas to the front door (if needed) while keeping the
antenna jumper cables discretely hidden.

NEMA RATED POLYCARBONATE SERIES
Our engineered thermoplastic enclosures feature
superior impact resistance of over 1485 lb/in, versus
standard fiberglass enclosures’ typical 220 lb/in.
These non-corrosive enclosures are ideal for high
humidity outdoor environments.

Clear or opaque door options are available and a
mounting base kit is included for wall installations.
Other options include diversity coaxial cable
assemblies and a seal grommet for data cables.

corrosive environments. Clear cover provides easy visual inspection of interior components.
Lightweight design is easy to ship and install. Enclosures also designed to prevent theft and tampering
of radio equipment.
TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED SERIES
Our fan and heater systems are thermostatically
controlled. The fan is powered off with either a
802.3af compliant POE injector (not included) or a
120V AC power source. A single power recepticle
is included.
Heater automatically turns on at 40° F,
and turns off at 80° F.

INTRINSICALLY SAFE SERIES
PCTEL’s intrinsically safe enclosures are designed to house
equipment in Class 1, Division 1 or Division 2 designated
locations where the possibility of fire or explosion is elevated
due to the presence of flammable gases, vapors, dusts or
fibers. These enclosures completely seal electronic and
RF equipment devices that could potentially generate
sparks or become a source of ignition in these hazardous
environments.
