The purpose of this organization is to provide a program in Palm Beach County to serve those
affected by Alzheimer’s, autism spectrum disorders, dementia and other related disorders that may
cause wandering, by providing a method of locating these individuals should they wander or become
lost. This program will improve the chances the participant is found safely, but will also have the
secondary impact of peace of mind for caregivers and family members; thereby, improving quality of
life for all involved.
HOW IT WORKS

Alzheimer’s Community Care
Mae Volen Senior Center
Renaissance Learning Center
Palms West Presbyterian Church
New Day Adult Day Center
A Palm Beach County resident diagnosed with autism spectrum
disorders, Alzheimer’s, dementia or a related disease that causes
them to wander may participate. The participant will be assigned to
a Managing Agency. To qualify the participant must have a
CAREGIVER. We will assign them a transmitter with a special
frequency number designated for them. Project Lifesaver requires a
mandatory every 30 day battery change. Once missing, the
CAREGIVER must call 911 immediately and identify their loved one
as a Project Lifesaver participant.
Project Lifesaver International has been
Established since 1999 with over 1975
search and rescues with a 100% success
rate.
