includingfire-ratedconstructioncodesandstandards.
4. Sufficientairisneededforpropercombustionandexhausting
ofgasesthroughtheflue(chimney)offuelburningequipment
topreventbackdrafting.Followtheheatingequipmentmanufacturer’sguidelinesandsafetystandardssuchasthosepublished
by the National Fire ProtectionAssociation (NFPA), and the
AmericanSocietyforHeating,RefrigerationandAirConditioningEngineers(ASHRAE),andthelocalcodeauthorities.

causesmokingandgreasyspilloversthatmayignite.Heatoils
slowlyonlowormediumsettings.
2. AlwaysturnhoodONwhencookingathighheatorwhencookingflamingfoods.
3. Cleanventilatingfansfrequently.Greaseshouldnotbeallowed
toaccumulateonfanorfilter.
4. Useproperpansize.Alwaysusecookwareappropriateforthe
sizeofthesurfaceelement.

2. NEVERPICKUPAFLAMINGPAN-Youmaybeburned.

3. DONOTUSEWATER,includingwetdishclothsortowels-violentsteamexplosionwillresult.
