Optics and Applications
A full circle kicker reflector directs a uniform wash light to
adjacent walls. The pattern is free from spikes, striations
or dropouts and features wide lateral distribution. The
downlight component is uniform with a soft edge to blend
with nearby units. Use in low to medium height ceilings.
Design Features
Construction allows easy access to all components.
Vented air flow design assures cool fixture temperature
for optimal lamp performance. Maximum ceiling thickness 2". Ballast and lamp service from below.
Finish
A specular clear Alzak cone is standard. Optional colors
and Softglow® finishes available. Housing and structural
parts are phosphated for corrosion resistance, then
painted optical matte black for control of stray light leaks.
Ballast
Fully electronic, microprocessor controlled with variable
starting current for inrush protection to assure rated
lamp life. Input voltage ranges from 120V through 277V.
Operates 26W, 32W or 42W triple tube lamps interchangeably. Power factor .98, starting temperature 0° F
(-18° C), THD < 10%. Pre-heat start < 1.0 second. End
of lamp life protection. Rated for > 50,000 starts.
General
Fixtures are pre-wired, UL and C-UL listed for eight wire
75°C branch circuit wiring. Union made IBEW. Luminaire
Efficiency Ratings (LER) do not apply to wall washers.

Description
Auto Set
WattStopper’s low profile DT-355 dual technology
occupancy sensor combines the benefits of passive
infrared (PIR) and ultrasonic technologies. The sensor
mounts on the ceiling with a flat, unobtrusive appearance and provides 360 degrees of coverage.
The DT-355 requires no adjustment at installation. Auto set continuously monitors the controlled
space to identify usage patterns. Using this information, it automatically adjusts the time delay
and sensitivity settings for optimal performance
and energy efficiency. The sensor assigns short
delays (as low as 5 minutes) for times when the
space is usually vacant, and longer delays (up to 30
minutes) for busier times.
Operation
Features
The DT-355 is line voltage and operates at 120,
230, 277 or 347 VAC. The sensor turns lighting on
when both PIR and ultrasonic technologies detect
occupancy. PIR technology senses the difference
between infrared energy from a human body in
motion and the background space. Ultrasonic
technology uses high frequency (40KHz) ultrasound to sense motion within the space. Once
lighting is on, detection by either technology holds
lighting on. When no occupancy is detected for
the length of the time delay, lighting turns off. The
DT-355 can also be set so that only one technology is needed to trigger or both technologies are
needed to hold lighting on.
WattStopper’s patented dual technology has the
flexibility to work in a variety of applications, where
one technology alone could encounter false triggers. Ideal applications include classrooms, open
office spaces, large offices, and computer rooms.
In addition, because the DT-355 can be mounted
onto a variety of junction boxes, the sensor has the
flexibility to be used in a wide range of spaces. The
sensors eliminate the need for a power pack by
using line voltage wiring.
• Advanced control logic based on RISC microcontroller provides:
• Ultrasonic diffusion technology spreads coverage to a wider area (patent pending)
• Detection Signature Processing eliminates
false triggers and provides immunity to RFI
and EMI
• Walk-through mode turns lights off 3
minutes after the area is initially occupied –
ideal for brief visits such as mail delivery
• Built-in light level sensor featuring simple,
one-step setup

Description
Multiple Channel Control
WattStopper’s LightSaver LCO-203 provides automatic ON/OFF switching control for fluorescent
and HID fixtures. It is an open loop controller providing up to three zones of control from a single
photocell.
Multi-channel control enables gradual, multi-level
switching of electric lighting as the daylight contribution increases. The LCO can be used to either
switch off individual rows of lamps in a luminaire
or entire luminaires. This gradual reduction is
likely to provide more balanced lighting while
being less distracting to occupants.
Operation
Features
The LCO controller is part of a system that
includes the LS-290C photocell and the BT-203
Power Pack. Each of the LCO controller’s three
channels connects directly with its own dedicated
relay in the power pack. The photocell measures
daylight and transmits these data to the LCO
controller. When daylight is adequate, the LCO
controller switches lighting off. When daylight
diminishes below the desired setpoint, the LCO
controller switches lighting back on. The ON
and OFF delays for each channel are individually
adjustable. The LCO controller integrates with
occupancy sensors as well as an optional wall
switch for manual overrides.
Applications
• Simplified setup and calibration
• Automatic internal calculation of daylight contribution for each channel for simplified setup
• Optional wall switch (LS-3C) provides ON/OFF
control so users can adjust lighting

PureCell™ 200
Commercial Fuel Cell Power System
The Product
UTC Fuel Cells, a unit of UTC Power, manufactures, sells and services the
PureCell™ 200 power system (formerly known as the PC25). This clean,
efficient and reliable fuel cell power plant produces 200 kilowatts of
electricity and heat (900,000 Btus per hour) suitable for cogeneration
applications. The complete packaged system includes the fuel cell power
module and a dry air cooling module.
Since 1991, the PureCell™ 200 fleet of commercial fuel cells has accumulated
more than 6 million hours of operational experience. More than 250
PureCell™ 200 power systems have been sold in 19 countries and on five
continents, with applications including a New York City police station, a
major postal facility in Alaska and a science center in Japan. The systems also
power schools, high-rise office buildings, and manufacturing sites. The
standard PureCell™ 200 system is a grid-connected unit that operates in
parallel with the electric utility grid. The unit can also be purchased to operate
either in grid-connected or grid-independent mode switching between modes
automatically or on command. In addition, the PureCell™ 200 power system
can generate electricity from anaerobic digester gas produced by waste water
treatment facilities.

How It Works
A fuel cell is an electrochemical device that combines hydrogen fuel and
oxygen from the air to produce electricity, heat and water. Fuel cells
operate without combustion, so they are virtually pollution free. Since
the fuel is converted directly to electricity, a fuel cell can operate at much
higher efficiencies than internal combustion engines, extracting more
electricity from the same amount of fuel. The fuel cell itself has no
moving parts - making it a quiet and reliable source of power.
The fuel cell is composed of an anode (a negative electrode that repels
electrons), an electrolyte in the center, and a cathode (a positive electrode
that attracts electrons).
As hydrogen flows into the fuel cell anode, platinum coating on the anode
helps to separate the gas into protons (hydrogen ions) and electrons. The
electrolyte in the center allows only the protons to pass through the
electrolyte to the cathode side of the fuel cell. The electrons cannot pass
through this electrolyte and therefore must flow through an external
Heating System
circuit in the form of electric current. This current can power an electric load. As oxygen flows into the fuel cell cathode, another
platinum coating helps the oxygen, protons, and electrons combine to produce pure water and heat. Individual fuel cells can then
be combined into a fuel cell "stack".

AVAILABLE for the electrical requirements of customers delivered at one point and at one
standard voltage through one installation of transformers supplied by the Company. Service will
be metered at one point by one installation of meters. The meter location will be determined by
the Company. Where the Company deems it impractical to deliver electricity through one
service, or where more than one meter has been installed for billing under a withdrawn rate,
then the measurement of electricity may be by two or more meters.
APPLICABLE to customers who are not manufacturers, as defined by Connecticut General
Statute 12-412 (3) (A) (ii) and (iii), or who are not engaged in manufacturing as defined in PA
92-193 amending Subsections 12-81 (72) and 12-94c, and are taking service on the effective
date of this rate whose demand equaled or exceeded in the last twelve months, or shall equal or
exceed in the next twelve months, 350 kW but less than 1,000 kW. However, a customer on
this rate whose maximum demand does not exceed 350 kW for 12 consecutive months, or
whose prospective maximum demand shall not exceed 350 kW due to demonstrable conservation and load management measures may elect to take service under Rate 35 or Rate 37.
Customers whose meters are not yet capable of measuring kilovolt-ampere (kVA) demand will
be measured on a kW basis. Customers who migrate to this rate due to the withdrawal of Rates
985 and 39 have the option to be measured on a kW basis. In such cases the Distribution
Demand Charge will be divided by .906 and the Production/Transmission Demand charges will
be divided by .906.
