PIECING THE BLOCKS
1. Using Diagrams I, II, and III as guides, piece one Unit 1, four Unit 2, and two Unit 3.
2. Using Assembly Diagram I-A and I-B as a guide, position units to form block design. Sew Unit 2 sub units to center sub
unit (Unit 1). Sew remaining sub units (Unit 3) to make Modified Memory Block.
3. To stabilize fabric for writing message/signature, cut a piece of freezer paper the size of Template A, minus the seam
allowance. Press paper (shiny side down) to the wrong side of Piece A in the block. Using a waterproof, permanent fabric pen,
write message/signature on right side of Piece A. Remove freezer paper.
