Under: Dr. K.S Venkatesh Field: DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING Description: The project can be divided into three parts (1) Analyzing music files in frames and extracting out properties of the music (Timbre, Harmonic Content, Quality) by using tools and algorithms of digital signal processing like Windowing, FFT, Spectral Estimation, Zero Padding, periodograms etc. (2) To display these properties as images in synchronization with the music played. (3) To separate music of different instruments using Harmonic Content as the basis of separation (In progress) Title: ASSEMBLY OF AN EYE-TRACKING SYSTEM, SETTING UP OF EYETRACKING EXPERIMENTS AND PROCESSING THE OBTAINED DATA USING a NEUROPROCESSOR. Under: Dr. P.K Kalra Field: INTELLIGENT AND INTERACTIVE SYSTEMS + NEURAL NETWORKS Description: This project has two parts (1) Assembly of an ASL EYE TRACKING SYSTEM in the laboratory and interfacing it with a personal computer. Enabling of different softwares to control the system. (2) Trying to explore new uses (Psychological, Biological etc) of the setup through experiments. (3) I am presently trying to drive the software ‘NEURAL NETWORKS SIMULATOR’using NEUROMATRIX Neuroprocessor, which would be used to process the data. Title: DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A UNIVERSAL INSTRUMENTATION AMPLIFIER Under: Dr. A.K Ghosh Field: ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS Description: In this project I designed and implemented a cheap instrumentation amplifier using opamps. The salient features of the instrumentation amplifier were offset null capability, noise filtering, adjustable gain, adjustable center frequency of the band pass characteristic and very high CMRR. Its final package was prepared in the form of a black box with input, output and control terminals and the PCB and components inside. Title: STUDYING THE ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS OF AN AIRCRAFT. Under: “INDUSTRIAL TRAINING” IN HINDUSTAN AERONAUTICS LIMITED – TRANSPORT AIRCRAFT DIVISION, KANPUR Description: I studied the electrical, electronic and communication systems of the aircrafts H.P.T-32 and HS-748 (AVRO) in HINDUSTAN AERONAUTICS LIMITED – TRANSPORT AIRCRAFT DIVISION, KANPUR. I studied in detail the power generation and distribution systems of the company. I also studied the power systems and power electronics used in aircrafts.
