Singing Bowl -The singing bowl used in worship…Singing bowls produce sounds which invoke a deep state of relaxation which naturally assists one in entering into prayer and meditation. Tibetan singing bowls are used for deep relaxation, stress reduction, and holistic healing. Our Tibetan bowl is over 100 years old!! APRIL 2016 – Cause of the Month PACIFIC LUTHERAN THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY (PLTS) PLTS was founded in 1910 and moved to Berkeley, CA in 1952. It provides forwardthinking theological education in an open-minded academic community and is the only ELCA seminary on the West Coast. PLTS is a member of a consortium of eight seminaries, eleven research centers, a partnership with U.C. Berkeley, and the largest theological library in the U.S. It offers a wide range of studies from lectures and certificates for laypersons, to Masters of Divinity for those preparing for ordination. Our own Pastor Tim Huff is a graduate of PLTS. PLTS would also like to build a deeper connection with persons interested in seminary. It has extended an open invitation to visit the campus, sign up for a Signs Along the Way discernment retreat, or speak with someone from the Office of Admissions.
