MAC 170 Paster For fast, accurate battery plate pasting ♦ Proven productivity ♦ Material saving accuracy ♦ Consistent plate thickness tolerance ♦ Higher performing plates Fast automatic pasting ranging from 90 to 170 double panels a minute. Driven by an energy-efficient 15 HP motor with water cooled gear reducer. The extra heavy-duty hopper includes intermeshing paddles and a large diameter, hardened knurled paste roller to provide outstanding grid fill-out. A hardened steel trowel roller smoothes the paste across grids exiting the hopper. There is no rubber squeegee to drag or create jams. The trowel roller is easily adjustable without stopping the pasting operation. To maintain tighter pasting tolerances, the hopper is mounted over a rugged 38 mm (1-1/2 inch) thick hardened bedplate, which improves durability and belt slide across the bedplate. The easy to adjust squeeze roller provides even pressure across the pasting belt to remove moisture. A dryer belt releases plates better and lasts longer. A belt take-up roller adjusts for up to 50.8 mm (2 inches) of belt slack. This keeps the belt tighter for better pasting and longer belt life. There are three different grid feeders for use with the MAC 170 Paster. The standard MAC 170 Feeder is a mechanical grid feeder mounted onto the paster. It can process grids from 0.9 to 3.8 mm (.035 to .150 inch) thick. It has a 610 mm (24 inch) load area. The optional MACvac Feeder is a vacuum grid feeder. It has rollabout convenience. When cleaning the paster, roll the MACvac Feeder away to avoid “slurry” water damaging the feeder components. The MACvac Feeder can process grids from 0.9 mm to 2.4 mm (0.35 to .150 inch) thick. Its load/storage area is 914 mm (36 inches) long. Its top speed is 170 panels a minute. The optional optaMAC Feeder’s 914.40 mm (36 inch) long loading and storage area allows longer time between loading intervals. Like the MACvac Feeder, the optaMAC Feeder is easily detached from the paster so it can be rolled out of the way during paster cleaning. It can process grids from 0.9 to 3.8 mm (.035 to .150 inch) thick.
