Up to 64 LPT-11 based nodes can be usually connected to one Power Supply unit, depending on the energy consumption of every individual node. Furthermore the Power Supply with Router separates physically and connects logically two network channels. It contains two network interfaces with each one TP/FT-10 Transceiver amplifying message signals from one network channel to the other channel and vice versa. The router works in two operation modes, as configured or learning router. The appropriate mode can be adjusted by means of a network management tool. Three LEDs indicate the status and the function of the router. The device outputs are short circuit and overload-proof. An adjustable bus terminator is integrated for both line and free topology network installations. The primary mains power supply can be switched-off by the power switch. A control light indicates the state of the power switch. The primary mains side is protected by a slow micro-fuse (2 AT, 250 V). The AC 230 V mains are connected by screw-type terminals with a maximum cross-section of 1.5 mm² (terminals "L" and "N"). The network channels are connected by two 4-pole pluggable screw-type terminals with a maximum cross-section of 1.5 mm² (terminals "Out" and "In").
