EXPECTATIONS
• Carpets will be free of evidence of spots and spills

• Carpets will NOT show the need to be shampooed
• Carpets that can be observed and are under chairs, couches, desk, tables and other
furniture will show evidence having been cleaned.

• Office furniture will be free of dust and stains

• All doors, door frames and hardware will be clean and free of dust/stains and
marks
• Walls will be free of spots and stains
• Waste containers will be clean and show evidence of being emptied
• Waste containers will have the appropriate size plastic liner in place
• Floor coverings will meet the “Expectations and Standards” as identified in those
standards. The standards are included as a part of this RFP

and Standards” for type flooring in each LAB, as included in the CLEANING
TASK EXPECTATIONS AND STANDARDS for REF Building Services
Department.
• Partitions and cubicles will be free of dust and stains
• All doors and door frames will be clean and free of dust and marks.
• Walls will be free of spots, marks and stains
• Waste containers will be clean and show evidence of being emptied
• Waste containers will have the appropriate plastic liner in place
• Biohazard (Special waste/Red Bag) containers will not exceed capacity
• Sharps/needle containers will not exceed capacity
