perspective.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
ASHA Standards
−ASHA Standards for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in SpeechLanguage Pathology consist of eight standards related to academic and clinical

reviewed and students will be required to correct any incorrect responses, but
this procedure will not alter grades.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
• Distinguish the different levels of speech production
• Analyze the anatomy and physiology of respiration, phonation and
articulation
• Analyze the auditory system from the cochlea to the brain
• Describe the basic concepts concerning the physics of sound.
• Describe the productions of speech as an acoustic stimulus.
•
•
•
•
Analyze the basic principles underlying speech production
