GRADUATE COURSES APPROVED FOR TRANSFER – Revised 2-10-15
Students completing any of the approved courses for transfer listed below must:
1) Requests an original transcript to be sent to the UNMC CON Graduate Student Services Coordinator
immediately upon completion of the course.
2) The course will be added to the student’s plan of study by their advisor and added to their academic
record.
Students wanting to complete a course that is not listed must:
1) Talk to their advisor first about taking the course and requesting a transfer.
2) Provide their advisor a current course description of the course they want to take for transfer. In many
instances additional material, such as a syllabus or student project, may be required.
The supplied material will be forwarded to the current CON course instructor who will review the
material. The current course instructor will send a recommendation to the advisor. The advisor will send
a recommendation to the chair of the UNMC CON Professional Graduate Nursing Program Admission,
Progression, Graduation and Scholarship Committee. If approved, the student requests an original
transcript be sent to the UNMC CON Graduate Student Services Coordinator immediately upon
completion of the course which will be added to the student’s plan of study and academic record.
Courses presented for transfer must meet the CON’s policy that all MSN degree courses must be
completed within 5 years prior to graduation.
