EPA test 1: Kills pathogens within 2 hours
CuVerro®’s performance on methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) compared with the ubiquitous
stainless steel and a popular silver coating. The tests were conducted at a typical room condition using good
laboratory practices. Greater than 99.9% of the MRSA are killed on CuVerro® surfaces within two hours. But, even
after 24 hours, nearly 10 million colony forming units (CFU’s) of MRSA are still alive on the silver-coated surfaces.
