SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS SQ and SQW trim Upon receipt, thoroughly inspect for any freight damage which should be brought to the attention of the delivery carrier. Compare the catalog description listed on the packing slip with the label on the carton to ensure that you have received the correct merchandise. IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION For Your Protection, Read Carefully NEW INSTALLATION FOR SQ TRIM 1. Remove trim from upper reflector by gripping flange and pulling out. 2. Using a screwdriver, push (4) clips in and move towards center of upper reflector (See Figure 1). 3. Thread socket cup through hole in upper reflector (See Figure 2). 4. Attach upper reflector to housing by inserting retention screw into keyhole slot, do not tighten (See Figure 3). For wallwash reflectors, make sure to orient wallwash kicker toward wall to be illuminated (See Figure 6). 5. Reposition spring clips to engage both the slots in the upper reflector and mounting frame (See Figure 4). 6. Tighten screw until spring clips are tight against slot in mounting frame. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN (See Figure 4). 7. Attach socket cup to upper reflector by engaging screw heads in keyhole slots and tighten until snug. Screw heads must be fully engaged in slots in order for the lower trim to be installed (See Figure 5). 8. Install lamp ensuring that correct type and wattage are used. 9. Attach safety chain to lower trim. 10. Install lower trim by aligning retention tabs with springs located in upper reflector. Push lower trim into upper reflector ensuring that it is fully engaged. WALLWASH TRIM ORIENTATION Follow steps 1-10 from NEW INSTALLATION FOR SQ TRIM 11. Install lower trim by aligning retention tabs with springs located in upper reflector. The short side of the trim must be aligned with the wallwash kicker (Figure 6). Push lower trim into upper reflector ensuring that it is fully engaged. Warning: Risk of fire. Do not install insulation within 3 inches of fixture sides or wiring compartment, nor above fixture in such a manner as to entrap heat. 1. Electric current can cause painful shock or serious injury unless handled properly. For you safety, always remember the following: • Turn off the supply power. • Ground the fixture to avoid potential electrical shocks. • Do not handle an energized fixture or energize any fixture with wet hands, when standing on a wet or damp surface, or in water 2. Specific safety information concerning lamps: • Match wattage of fixture and lamp exactly. • Do not remove or insert lamp when power is on. • Do not scratch glass or subject lamp to undue pressure as either may cause lamp breakage. • Protect operating lamp from sources of moisture. • If lamp is marked it contains mercury.
