UFSM offers to international students a Portuguese as a Second Language
Course (PSL) , called Entrelínguas, at the Faculty of Education.
At the end of the course, the student is supposed to be able to take the CELPBRAS test (Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese for Foreigners) which is officially
recognized and developed by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC).
CELP-BRAS is applied twice a year. In April and in October.
