The high voltage option uses a series of resistors built into the instrument mainframe to divide the high voltage analog input signal down to a level within the measurement range of the DI-5B40-1042 signal conditioning module. The 1000:1 voltage divider inputs will reduce a high voltage analog signal to a level that is within the measurement range of the DI-5B40-1042 module (±1 volt full scale). Custom, but not Limited... But the channel isn't limited only to high voltage inputs. The DI-5B40-1042 signal conditioning module, which is required for the high voltage option, can also directly accept a ±1V analog voltage input. With the instrument's programmable gain feature, measurements to ±125mV full scale (Av = 8) are possible.
